I think my life is kind of slow now..
not exactly free or bored.. but just.. eh.. slow.. nothing interesting or inspiring..
(which explains why ive got nothing much exciting to blog about)
Perhaps its becoz I completed my SIM degree paper.. so im one goal shorter.. but i do have other academic aims.. like a CPA or degree in accountancy but it takes time to plan and can only happen after i obtained the results..
im fustrated why i cannot get my internet to work at home... any IT expert can help me set up the network thingy??? haizzzz.. i will definitely blog more when its up
Gst 7%! the dreaded day has come!! how can the lousy $200 package be enuff when i didnt get a pay rise?? imagine if ur monthly expenses is $2k, u alrdy incur $140 gst, which is $40 (2%) more.. $200 can jus cover 5 months ($200/$40) loh.. not even half a year..
I demand a decent increment at yr end ah! Employers better be more considerate leh!.. standard of living is so high!... kekez

Finally Exams are over! IMMMM SOOOO GLADDDDD!! wooohhhoooo!
anyway ive been try to blog for the past 2 days but this website failed me.. take ages for me to "create a new entry".. that explains why i didnt came in and share my joy on the day of my last paper itself: 30th May. oh ya anyway, that last paper sucks! probably my lousiest paper so far in this 2 yrs.. but who cares!!!! now I can proudly announced: IM DONE WITH UOL EXAMS! =D
sad to say.. i was sick thru-out this last paper.. fever for bout 3 days.. really! I walked into the exam hall sickly.. like a zombie.. i was even on MC that day.. so even though im on leave 2 days for mugging.. i could hardly revise consciously, well.. ... too bad =( that's my main reason for doing badly for this last paper..
im hardly sick.. but once im sick, it's a major big fat one.. so i guess i would be a healthy baby for the next 1 yr.. at least! ha..
I watched Pirates 3 liao.. Still love Captain Jack Sparrow!!! but i think Pirates 2 was better.. more funny.. coz this epi less Jack mah.. so the movie seemed dry... if u want Pirates of the Carribean 4 to be more popular, PLEASE revolve the story more on Jack la! Definitely can sell better this way..
Im looking forward to go to the PC show in one of this few days.. other than that.. nothing much interesting liao.. too broke for the GSS..

brief summary
hmm... summarise the aussie holiday b4 i forget..
the weather there was good.. i love it very much.. cooling and my complexion suddenly become super good becoz of the cool dry weather..
pple there were very friendly.. super nice =D
on my way to & fro on the flight, i watch a lot of movies! hahah.. i re-watch The Holiday and Devil wears Prada, and i also caught Dreamgirls and Man in the Iron Mask.. I like Dreamgals.. almost weep on the plane! so embarrassing.. i like SIA planes coz their pillow and decos all in Purple! my fave! nice theme.. I also catch two epi of F.R.I.E.N.D.S to brighten my trip! fully utilised the travelling time me!..
Shoppin at the Factory Outlet was fun, looking desperately for bargain priced items, other then that, not much shopping was done le..
I went to SeaWorld and MovieWorld and some mountain places (forgot what mountain is that =P).. also the beach at GoldCoast..
I enjoyed the place & actually hope can go there again with my love ones =D

today's my last day in the Metatech!

I wouldn't say its for the good or bad.. but the present is still worth embracing the most!

Yes, i do feel abit "she bu de" some old nice colleagues whom I've worked with and joke around for so long, but oh well.. no choice.. I'm also anticipating new co-workers too! hahaha

im so in love with this gay =D
I realise i've got a soft spot for nice, humourous GAYS..
nothing much to mention bout me as im so "busy-ing" watching the Amazing Race season 2 dvd day and night!! hahahaha
and therefore i ended up so much in love with Oswald despite the fact he's a lil sissy (typical gay).. my love grew episode by episode =P!
sooooo humourous, so niceeee, quite cool his character.. and danny's too..i like the way they've raced..

People like to judge other people.
We always seem to have the appropriate adjective for people we deem to be inferior in some way. It seems like such a waste of time - judging other people when the time could be more efficiently spent evaluating yourself and making improvements.
There is a story about a baker in a little country town who bought the butter he used from a nearby farmer. One day he suspected that the bricks of butter were not full pounds, and for several days he weighed them.

Rob and Amber Exit Amazing Race All-Stars at leg 4 yesterday!
Thats early! I felt quite =( for them as there are definitely other weaker links more deserving to be eliminated.. haha.. namely the Chirla and Mirna loh!.. Having 3 consecutives leg-wins is of real good and diligence, yet they still had to leave.. such a pity! I used to dislike them and root for Joyce & Uchena back in their season 7.. but since Joyce and Uchena won b4.. I erased the bad memories of Romber and find them quite likeable this season 11.. the Charla and Mirna are the irritating ones this time! (eh no ah! back at Season 5, they are already irritating and agitate me liao!).. together with noisy Mary with her "friends.. friends & FRIENDS" theories.. both teams are weak siah!
Okie.. since theres no turning back and stuff.. let's continue cheering my favs Oswald and Danny!

Stranger meet strange pple
hmm.. i went to GV to watch the movie "300" and the strangest thing happened: I approached the theatre with my hands fully occupied with my fav salty pop-corns and lemon tea when this door usher ask me for me ID card! I was shocked! ehh..i hesitated as i thought i heard wrongly.. she repeatedly ask for my i/c.. so I started asking my partner out loud impatiently: "what rating is this movie ah? R21?" he replied: "M18"
Huh!!! do i look soo young!.. 18?? when was that???
i reluctantly pull out my wallet and my friend did that as well.. "Eh.. yours no need.. only hers" as the usher stops my friend and pointed/ eyed only on me alone..
finally i shoved her my driving license while still balancing my lemon-tea and she hurriedly say "okieokie".. she added: "sorry ah, u look really young"
I'm shocked! I must clarify:
1) I'm not that short. Average for a lady. even had heals
2) I didn't have a pimple-outbreak that day
3) I didn't wear specs or tie my hair or wear pink or wear cartoons stuffs that day.
Weird!! the only reason i can think of, for her weird perception was:
1) I look like her younger sister's best fren or something similar
2) I look really radiant and young to her, PRETTY ME! hahahahhaha (kidding lah, GRINS)..
Anyway 300 is a nice movie.. I enjoyed it

the lousy taxi driver! No ethics!
im soooo angry with one damn irresponsible driver!
I paid so much money take cab from kakibukit to outram area.. paying peak hour surcharge..
and yet.. he make me suffer!!
What happens is.. I gave him full address.. for example 139apple road...
pui him drove pass apple road liao.. "say the road is ending soon.. u get down and find lah.. should be around here.. here already 71apple road.. the road only ends there, should be around here la"..
damn it.. force me and persuade me get down when i was so helplessly looking out the the cab window!! i really couldn't see 139 anywhere in sight! Pui!!
i got down damn reluctantly.. paying $16 plus.. really lost.. so i started walking and finding.. i really haven't been there b4 nor the area..
walk around ask around.. very sweaty.. trying not be late etc.. super duper ke lian!!
sweating like hell and combing huge areas..
finally after calling the person i wanted to visit twice.. then i manage to find 139.. which is very far away! more den 2 bus stops definitely! it is not even in sight to where i drop-off initially.. i had to cross quite a few junctions to the correct destination!
WAT THE HELL!! WHO SAYS THAT ROAD IS SHORT!! PUI THAT IDIOT TAXI DRIVER!!
so i was sweaty, legs tired, make-up all gone, late!.. all becoz of this irresponsible taxi man who picked up passengers when i alight.. i started to wonder he chased me to get out of the cab is it he notice them and wanted to pick up the passengers..
FREAKY-DOLL!! i mean.. FREAKY-IDIOT

anyway.. moral of the story.. dont be like me.. take cabs cant find the place.. pls insist and dont pay till you really reach.. dont listen to their bullshits..

By Drew Darrymore and Hugh Grant.. amused by the "paris hilton" look-alike singer named Cora, so bimboic but kinda cute.. and also the tight pants of Alex Fletcher (Hugh) which complimented with his or-bit 80s dance moves.. the hips moves.. haha
hmm.. I also watch the debut of "Ugly Betty" (on Channel 5, Sundays) .. quite entertaining.. the plot reminds me of the Devils wear Prada.. except shes much uglier.. haha
hmm.. got certain events that I can blog about but can't becoz its discreet and i dont wanna certain related parties to read it..

Boring Chinese New Yr.. Didnt really go Bai Nian..
I watched two movies in two days.. The Protege and Norbit.
Norbit is quite a hilarious movie.. I like the "Mr Wong" in it.. definitely sets U in a happier new yr mode
The Protege is quite interesting.. for an asian movie, i think its decent enough..
I like Louis Koo in it.. although i read from some critic saying he over-acted.. i guess its intentional.. for him to be slighty comical in it.. its refreshing mah..

Feb is suppose to be a Fabulous month.. with CNY and V-day celebrations..

dizzydazzy
I was having a lousy headache last night while spectating the Arsenal vs Man U clash.. so I happily took the panadol extra.. at bout 2am.. but to my dismay, can't sleep!! the medicine seems to make me more conscious instead of sleepy so at 2am++ I'm still tossing and turning helplessly.. now this morning after i wakie.. my head feels so light.. dizzy dazzy =S
help! so uneasy!
Anyway it helps that we did win Man Utd after all...so at least for me it's a happy ending.. a late header by Henry in the closing minutes to redeem himself from an earlier great chance he missed (he just head it straight at Van de Sar earlier.. my god.. wasted!) Anyway the triumph also won't change any fact that we will not be League Champions this season.. lag too much points.. think the whole world knows it except Arsene Wenger who's in denial.. I suspect he knows though.. but as a leader, he just can't spell it out..
So my Gunners were mainly, just playing for their pride theoretically last night.. and perhaps hoping for a 3rd place..

As Justin and Christina choose to release their albums around the same time, their music is so heavily played on my mp3 player these days..haha... so it brought me to this silly thought:

my weekend was basically concluded with one word..
Plain.. nothing surprising, nothing exciting yet nothing dejecting.. pretty cozy though.. =)
but I've already started hunting cum buying CNY new clothes.. =P
hahaahahhaa... fast? I think the 'Organised, Detailed Virgoan Characteristics' are acting on me.. i certainly don't like last min new year goodies rush or any kind of messy noisy congested crowds.. so i start early.. early birds are always rewarded right? haha.. i don't plan to splurge so i aim at the sale items.. Mango, Zara, Isetan and G2000 are all having sale now.. =P good! U gals go have a look also k? I shop in advance to avoid being disappointed too.. as smaller sizes always run out of stock during CNY period.. and another reason is.. i can spare some cash from 2 month's salary to do CNY shopping instead of jus depending on one month's salary alone.. meaning i won't be so broke if i spread my spendings, to be divided by 2 mths instead of just 1. Does that mean i can buy more? hahahha hope not..

There was a study done where a control group of 100 people were divided into two.50 people watched a very funny, tears-of laughter type movie. 50 watched a very sad and tears of compassion type movie.
At the end of the sessions researchers collected the "happy tears" andthe "sad tears" with eye droppers.They found that "happy tears" are made up of brine...salt water and not a great deal else. However the "sad tears" were found to contain the very same chemicals and enzymes that are found in tumors, ulcers and other such lumps and bumps and sicknesses through out the body.This test concluded that the body, when crying in sadness etc is literally flushing out all of the toxic-chemicals that accumulate and are a part of the sadness /heartache experience.

i finally bought my new bed le!
damn costly.. eh not the bed i mean.. the bed & mattress is considered cheap liao.. is the assembly fee @ $39.50 and the delivery chrg @ 19.50 that is costly!!..
i mean other furniture shops don't charge delivery and assemble fees right?? =(
watever.. its not nice lah.. but more decent then my old one.. yey! delivering it b4 new year!
I'm now looking for bed sheet and quilt and quilt covers for it.. hahah its gonna cost more money again.. at Isetan the branded Fiven quilt is 69.90 after discount wor! hahaha luckily I managed find cheaper non-branded ones. yipppeee.. save some money for xmas shopping...
Going to start buying xmas pressies soon!.. if u want one from me.. drop a hint ba.. else it might slipped my mind =P

Been real busy like a bee recently at work
hmm.. the pple around me seems to be involving in big projects.. either buying new car or job hopping.. so good leh! i also want new car!! but too costly.. i also want change job! but better stay longer gain experience.. *shakes head
xmas is coming! but for once i dont really feel that shopaholic.. wanna wait and save for that retail therapy in Bangkok.. dont really have that extra bucks to spend for this festive..
sick of being broke.. next yr resolution is not to be broke.. Hahaha
slept quite late last nite so now im totally exhausted.. to add on my morning grumpy agony.. on the bus journey, there were a few pple talking loudly to each other.. SOOOO noisy! disturbing the peace early in the morning.. I declare I hate the gangs who talk loudly on the buses.. when i mean loud, it is real loud! talk as if the other party is 5metres away and when one respond to the other endlessly.. its noise pollution!.. i remember the many other times i bumped into inconsiderate groups who do this kinda stunt.. hmm.. quite a number.. normally students.. i dont care i might be one of them who does that in the past.. but now.. i'll jus declare it's irritating..

i dun wanna sound drama mama or overboard as we are not so close recently and im also not a close kin butbut, but i do feel a sharp sense of grief when she (sec sch best fren) told me her granny passed away..
life is so fragile and when i recall the times her granny was so hospitable to me and our gang at our every noisy visit, no matter its chinese new year housewarming or what.. she's so generous, joyful, kind and all, i felt depress.. at those time, Feli & me were the closest.. sometimes i even felt that she only had me I only had her then.. so the 2 of us kinda hang out at her place quite often alone as well..her granny is super nice.. haizz.. =(
hope my pal is coping well..

life is so fragile and when i recall the times her granny was so hospitable to me and our gang at our every noisy visit, no matter its chinese new year housewarming or what.. she's so generous, joyful, kind and all, i felt depress.. at those time, Feli & me were the closest.. sometimes i even felt that she only had me I only had her then.. so the 2 of us kinda hang out at her place quite often alone as well..her granny is super nice.. haizz.. =(

Amazing Race addict
I'm sounding like a TV geek wor but i so enjoy watching Amazing Race 10 on Mondays & Amazing Race Asia on Thursdays..
so exciting!! AR10 coming to the be left with the top 4 teams next week.. narrowing down to the finale soon.. for past 2 weeks, the pretty pple have been leading the pack.. i started to think that pretty pple may not be as airheads as we assumed.. pretty pple meaning the Barbie dolls & the Models (who i nicknamed Ken Dolls or TJ).. anyway Kimberly and Rob are also pretty pple la.. meaning they got nice looks also.. I'm happy at this situation la..period.. because the others (6-pack) who allied i dont like.. they stick together and make the show uninteresting.. shakes head.. in the end, now i sort of support TJ loh.. because not much choices left mah!.. because they are handsome and funny lah.. personally i dont think they can win lah.. so sotong sometimes and they aint a very competitive pair or smart but at least they are entertaining to me..
I like tom & terry one.. but super sissy and funny.. too bad.. elimininated..
For Amazing Race Asia (I got classes on thurs so gotta watch late telecast =( ), of coz I'm bias and support Singaporeans! hahaha..but of coz.. trying stay neutral lah.. may the best team wins loh! but the program abit messy now.. too many teams and very chaotic.. hope it will improve later on.. I soooo feel like wanting to be in part of the race!! can pair with fren or brother!! interesting show, traveling and all!! on Sat, I watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Beginning, rated R21.. I caught the first "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" before.. so I kinda know what I'm going to get.. and true enough.. its as gruesome as whatever u could have imagine.. the brutal cruel ways.. argghhh.. disturbing!.. i started to ponder why am I watching this kinda show when its not entertaining or enjoyable at all.. no im not a scaredy cat kind.. so it didn't hit me bad but if u think it from another angle, its not inspiring also.. waste money right? i certainly dont enjoy watching pple's leg get saw off, or throats being cut, face skin being peel off etc.. at least those ghostly korean/japan horror movies have more entertaining storylines or have a certain twisted plot in them.. this one is just bloody, grisly, disgusting.. waste money! *^&%*^@*&%^ im not watching this kinda show anymore.. no.. im not scared hor! jus find it.. eh.. pointless

House Of Wax
Was watching a number of DVDs in the weekend.. One of it was the horror show " House of Wax" made in 2005 starring my favorite Chad Michael Murray and the famous Paris Hilton.. The critics didn't rate it favorably but I thought the scenes were pretty gruesome!.. Which is okay for a horror plot right? Let me tell u what the psychos did to those innocent trespassers if u havent watch it.. Imagine sealing a victim's lips with superglue (strong gum).. pple sealed victims lips with browntapes, or merely stuffed a towel inside the mouth to keep them quiet..but he use superglue to seal lips! my god.. and the ghoulishly inventive killers waxed the victims alive! they snapped fingers, cut the blood veins, poke the hearts .. whatever and whatever and waxed everyone up.. so the town is filled with remarkably life-like wax sculptures...which are all victims.. gross gross..

After living for 24 yrs, I gradually learn that I shouldn't be so blunt anymore.. being candid is jus the nicer way of saying things, but truth is.. being too blunt or direct sucks.. becoz there's this ugly side of people, everyone likes to hear nice stuffs/ compliments about them only.. nobody likes to hear critisims or not-so-nice stuffs bout them.. some truthful advises & opinion, I think you better keep it to yourself.. coz the more u express, u more offensive u become.. in the end.. its only those "candid" pple who are being dislike and the fake pple who gets the likes of the crowd..
don't get me wrong.. I'm not going to lie & pretend to be a sweetie pie.. faking compliments and sweet-tongue to everyone.. not ever!.. NAHZ.. jus keeping quiet for those pple I deemed as perhaps, more narrow-minded and cannot take negative comments.. be a lil more diplomatic?

I suspect if i ever watch Rain's drama.. i might like him as well.. but for the moment.. nope.. not yet..
For Princess Hours.. find it kinda kiddy...childish.. but on later stages, as the princess grows more mature.. the things in the palace become more exciting to watch.. I find kim jeonghoon (top pic) look like takki hideaki of Japan.. Such a Pretty guy! I like =D

Rattles on on some nonsense
hmm
I think i have fixed bits & pieces of my life.. everything seems quite in place now so at least Im living a decent, contented peaceful life now.. good! i must be thankful..
I cannot be always grumbling bout troubles and never slow down & appreciate simple things in life right? so here i am: although no happy events or anything worth celebrating now, at least i don't have much problems weighing down on me now.. great =)
la la la~~~
but hor.. Of coz not everything is smooth-sailing.. me being an expert whiner can find things to whine one.. like my disfigured legs from the sandfiles bites still remained ugly and show no signs of recovery, yet the medicine is making me emotional & tired..and and my cranky digestive/bowel system, not enough money to buy a good bed etc.. haha.. but still.. I kinda love my life now.. Stable, Peaceful.. mus try to inject this positive feelings to things around me..

Misc stuff for the long weekend
after 4 days of rest.. Im back in action!! hahaha.. in fact i nvr did left lah.. was always "actioning" my own mini drama serial.. haha.. while i was tryin to log in from home to blog on Monday.. my home pc failed me again! the modem lah.. always haywire one.. lousy!
i watched the Departed, my only movie in the long break.. its the remake of my Tony Leung ( I adore Him!) & Andy Lau's Infernal Affairs.. verdict? eh.. okie lah.. I think Jack Nicholson's acting was indeed superior.. kinda shine to me.. as for the storyline.. its almost the same as the Chinese version so dont expect too much.. Leonardo DiCaprio is still good.. but I "hiam" Matt Damon not "mean" enough.. Its a remake.. so i stil think original is slightly better.. 150 mins show (longlong) with big casts.. stil considered worth-watchin..
Shopping was inevitable for me in long breaks lah.. but nothing much worth mentioning from my shoppin trips.. was lookin for my new bed from IKEA but havent decided upon one yet.. low budget so look around for alternatives for awhile more first..
the rest of the time i spent "unmeaningfully" watching Dvds.. its only my second or third? korean show - My Lovely Sam Soon.. im not into Korean dramas actually so I only choose funnier light-hearted ones..
i was kinda looking forward to watch it in the past but could nvr be in time to catch it from Channel U.. luckily now with the dvds, i can work in my own sweet pace.. I can marathon with Sam soon & gang!.. This kinda story line always appeal to me.. i mean with a main female Character that is plump, clumsy but witty yet super-candid (like me! =P).. down-to-earth and direct.. someone like Bridget Jones. Of coz i did like it.. plus she's a real comedian siah & quite talented.. so i watched until quite "song".. I fell for the main male lead character as well.. her boss in the show lah.. coz he's got "enduring" looks.. not strikingly handsome but the more u see, the more suave he appears type.. i prefer his character inside den the other "Henry".. becoz the Henry is too typically model-y handsome (like the Barbie Doll Ken, u know?) & nice.. so far-fetch.. unrealistic! I haven't finished the whole Sam soon serial yet.. jus a lil more to go.. im fast hor..
other things blog later.. gotta do my paper work first.. im always drowned by my paperwork in office.. argghhh..

im kinda busy after the Bintan trip.. catchin up with my dearest and super busy with work becoz auditor Bernice was in town.. then my director is going overseas so im tryin to rush everything for him & his trip..
the trip was fun! i think its becoz my companions were fun.. the resort is not impressive to me.. similar to any local chalet... and the worst thing is the sandfiles bite ive got!! super itchy + super ugly.. unbearable itch leh!! after awhile when i eventually went to the doctor.. he say may leave scars!!~!! =( and take longtime to heal.. really a bummer man.. sucks.. hate my legs now.. so many bites!! ugly!! itchy..
ohyah.. i won second prize lucky draw during the AD&D.. $600.. haha
anyway.. photos already in my friendster.. go there & browse k? lazy upload here.. jus put one here enough..

VivoCity Opening on 7 Oct!
Weekend was basically spent doing 3 things.. 1) Go VivoCity check it out on its opening. 2) Watch Jackie Chan's Rob-B-Hood. 3) Do my hair.
Conclusion: Louis Koo is still drop-dead gorgeous.. haha.. I've always like handsome guys acting comedy roles.. The more exaggerated-wacky role, the merrier! Therefore I liked it.. Thumbs up! somemore the typical jackie fighting scenes were more realistic this time round.. and with an angelic-cutie-babyboy involve.. the movie is quite enjoyable & entertaining..
but im weird lah.. with alot of funny dialogues & scenes to be picked , I think the funniest is when the traffic police checkpoint snap shots of the speeding villains & the person holding the guns said: "im holdin a gun, quick flee la! waiting for prize ceremony meh?" me the weirdo think this prize awarding part is damn hilarious..
Oh ya.. VivoCity is huge!!.. Larger than Taka, think Taka plus Wisma.. Larger than Suntec and even Marina Square.. only 60% of the stores were open.. so when I was there, my life was almost endangered!.. haha.. becoz i was famished.. and the only few food providers opened were Sushi Teh & Pacific Coffee Company.. couldnt find any food and the Sushi Tei queue actually needed 1 hr! I almost fainted but luckily, with my last conserved energy, while we made our way to try to walk (i almost can crawl le) to World Trade Centre to find anything edible to fill my empty grouchy stomach, we found the Tangs Studio cafe!.. a lil cafe which saved my life in the middle of nowhere! (the smoked salmon spag is the best I've eaten so far!.. mayb becoz im famished la) .. Later on which i learnt, we can actually walked to the linked HorbourFront Centre which have lots of common yummy food in it.. so friends, pls dont be like me! Starved & no energy to walk in the big mall at all! Go Harbourfront Center fill up first!
Back to the stores in Vivo, take a look in the Directory, Everything was there!.. I mean almost Every brand!.. Interesting names to me would be the NafNaf store, Gap store, Principles store.. and in case if these dont appeal to u.. the traditional stores like Levis, A/X, Domanchi, MANGO, ZARA, M)phosis, Topshop are all in the mall too!!.. ALOT ALOT loh!!.. let's say only for the sports apparel brands alone.. already have: Adidas, PUMA, NIKE, FILA, Nautica, Kappa, Converse , Everlast stores are all inside!!! isnt it fasicinating!?!! Oh ya, there's even a Daiso store there! yey! Basically whatever brand u can think of, it should be in there lah.. even if not there, substitutes can be found.. Im definitely going to enjoy going there after the shops are fully open & renovated..

I was reading this email & it kinda touched me.. too long so i jus post half of it. its the 3rd lesson that touched me really.. although i think i may have read it b4 sometime ago, but the 3rd lesson still attracts me.. here we go...
Five (5) lessons to make you think about the way we treat people.
1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.
During my second month of college, our professorgave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious studentand had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall,dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last questionblank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade."Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers,you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you dois smile and say "hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned hername was Dorothy.
2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 P.M., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car hadbroken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generallyunheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The mantook her to safety, helped her get assistance andput her into a taxicabShe seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down hisaddress and thanked him. Seven days went by and aknock came on the man's door. To his surprise, agiant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached.. 3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water infront of him."How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked."Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it."Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient."Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the icecream, paid the cashier and left. Aww.. awfully sweet boy ya? I jus hope everyone else is as honest & nice as him.. dont always assume other pple are out to hurt/ cheat u and be so defensive.. dont complicate things when it can be purely simple.. spread some love as well as and dont always expect anything in return..

Thanks Everyone
Had a great time on my birthday.. Thanks pple for the warm greetings and well wishes.. my hp was beeping constantly literally.. so heart-warming!.. September!~!!
no time keep this place updated siah..
anyway sept is a month when I will be damn broke.. jus paid for the sch fees for sem 2.. oopps.. forgot to pay the London study guide package yet.. errr... will do it later this week.. Remind me ah!!
and and so mannnny pple's birthday!! including yours truly of coz.. =P
Brother's birthday just pass with a blink of my eyes, so fast over le and we hardly had time to talk to each other.. everyone's busy i guess.. I loved what I bought for him.. nice, classic & practical.. as usual! =) think he likes it hor.. heh heh..
now is my dearest turn.. hope he would like whatever i buy.. still cant decide among the many choices which would be my final decision... argghhh.. tough.. jus want the best for him mah..
and also some pretty friend's birthday like Gwen, Maggie, Kimmi!! Think got more to spend leh.. yeap also colleague's birthday budget.. hahahhaa.. merry merry!! but broke lah..
oh my results out alrdy.. kinda hit me as poor results initially.. but after awhile, i think they are fine actually.. afterall, i did manage passed all and some of them are perhaps jus what i deserved.. not as marginal as i thought eh?

relationship
relationship - I've got this damn weird mindset - I've always think a relationship can be maintain for a very long time easily (like forever) as long as both got the heart to do so.. like the mushy song "my heart will go on" u know?.. the reason for breakups is simply- one person don't want to go on anymore (or in some worse senarios- both of them doesn't bother to carry on).. so as long as both person got the "heart".. things can be fine.. no one should let go..
why complicate things when one can be much prettier and easier in simple forms?
I still don't believe in FOREVER, haha dont get me wrong..
still searching but if u are in one, just be more generous & patient, don't let down on your heart..
he told me he learn some things from me when he's with me.. =) but I told him each of us grow from time to time.. Seeing a better light, perhaps changing for the "better" as we age & get exposed to new things, so vice versa, I learn things from him as well..
he told me my "flaws" and his reasons for being skeptical.. I listened
Respect the differences! else someone would have to change.. the best if both compromise but keep expectations to the minimal.. keep ur feelings positive.. thing may not work out (nothings impossible as well as nothings forever).. but Goodluck! I watched The BreakUp at The Cathy! I kinda always mention the movies I watch in my blog (so boring hor) but its because I like Jennifer Aniston.. I watched her Rumour has it, Derailed and now this.. and I still find her very charming, witty and pretty! =D
I can relate to this story very well.. so i guess most couples can ba.. the arguements are so honest & realistic.. funny but not "great".. ..oh ya.. half of us were curious of how's Jennifer's new bf is like right? And although this "Gary", Vince is not handsome at all, I still consider him quite pleasant-looking ba.. I think he can afford to shed a few more pounds though..
Arsenal drew their opening match at Emirates Stadium with Aston V! =(.. nvm... we will do better... without Pires, Campbell & Ashley Cole... Abit more handicap hor?
Oh ya.. forgot to mention i tried another flavour at Ben & Jerry's, Cherry Gracia. Nice! i've always like cherries on top of my icecreams.. this flavour allows me to do away with that..

my weekend
my weekend was a mixture of the good & bad.. alot of times we tend to blog our fustrations more so this time round.. perhaps i should jus fill in here with the pretty ones and leave the rest behind
I finally saw the pretty fireworks (the france one) on Sat! near marina square with my dearest one and to me, its like a mini dream come true.. i didnt have the best spot neither the best mood that moment but.. im easily-contented girl and im glad to c it..
I almost had a chance to go on a much desired holiday with my dear friend, ... but it didnt work out although I really yearn * 1000 for it.. I had to give it up on my part becoz of my silly mistake.. Almost.. things could only get better and not worse the next time ba.. =) I should... console myself that I need not worry bout the expenses at least?
I had a very sweet dream! yes.. its only a dream! but mind u.. its a wonderful lovely dream come true in the dream.. haha... a dream i had pin for more than 8 years.. had finally been fulfilled in my dreams... so ironic but still.. better than nothing..
sometimes, when u hope for the hopeless too much, u have sub-conciously let it go alrdy.. this dream can only make me happier and not less..
Soccer is back.. community shield jus ended with Liverpool edging over Chelsea this time but what matters really is this means a start of a Brand new EPL season.. yey! Can finally c my new stadium (Arsenal's one of coz) and new/old players in action..
forgot to mention im HAPPY my super idol Dunga is appointed coach of Brazil national squad.. I cross my fingers and wish he can last 4 yrs til the next WorldCup2010 to lead the Brazilians!!
I want to start reading my book soon.. been so busy and also busy finding excuses to start.. hopefully by this week I can do so.. heard its good & one of the best sellers.. will share more if i can eventually start and complete it.. haha.. "don't wanna overpromise".. one of my all-time principle..
Christina Aguilera's & Justin Timberlake's album is finally releasing soon (by Sept 06).. Anticipating them to blow me away upon their arrivals..

Ben & Jerry ice cream
Im indulging in new stuff again, this time, we bought 2 tubs of Ben & Jerry Icecream from Cold Storage! (yummy yummy) @ $11.50 each
The Strawberry CheeseCake flavour is very special & nice!! Once I start digging, I could hardly stop (sounds like Pringles eh).. The other one I bought is New Yolk Super fudge Chunks flavour I think, is very chocolate & yummy too.. so troubled.. dont know next time should i try other flavours or stick to this 2 since I like it sooo much.. haha..
Alternatively, U can still go to Billy Bombers to drink their Milkshake loh.. heard that its from Ben & Jerry as well.. (the milkshake there) Its addictive~!
Anyway, strange, that time I went Great World City and eat at the Ben & Jerry icecream parlour there and it was so abit disappointing, perhaps I chose a wrong flavour that day.. Oror digging from the huge tub is more enjoyable?

Those who know me will know that i prefer Elvin than Julian in the recent MediaCorp 9pm show..
I don't really fancy local dramas anymore... so its only once in awhile I catch any MediaCorp's drama.. so these two recent shows are the considered exceptions... one is becoz of Fann Wong then I watch (the one Chen Hanwei & Edmund Chen fight over her).. This AiQingLingDuC is becoz give Elvin face then I watch loh...
His role inside.. Weixiang is Mr Good Guy wor.. therefore I like the ending very much.. Touching.. the unconditional love from him is so rare & heartwarming... yet considered old-fashion storyline if u ask me.. haha..
anyway.. Kudos to the scriptwriter of the creation of this Mr nice guy character WeiXiang and Elvin for potraying it well.. needless to say.. Hes cute!..
