Haha I know I am very slow indeed but I completely forgot to watch! as the finale was on V-day.. was so busy then..
Thus, I watched the repeat last nite.. And I'm proud to repeat, I KNOW MY FLAGS! what's with the other two teams?? wasted..


I guess it always boils down to a last brink of brilliance when it comes to Season Finales, just like Rachel in her final road block (of TK & Rachel in AR12).. even if u did well for entire race like Marc & Rovilson, there's still no sure-wins..
Nevertheless.. Congrats to them too and Vanessa & Pamela.. I think all 3 teams were great racers.. its fun watching ARs and ARAs..


I want join ARA!! but I already give up lookin for partner ... no peers/family of mine seems really interested de.. I guess they are just not adventurous enough =P

I've always like Stephen Chow's movie.. I think alot of other people too.. I like this CNY film better than KungFu Dunk and Ah Long P L, (but perhaps guys may prefer KungFu Dunk la.. coz they prefer action films?). Basically because this film brought me laughters and tears.. Quite touchin..

星爷 left the limelight of the show to the young cute talented "Hsu Jiao".. but his talents and charm will still be recognised by us..

Gala Premiere for CNY films

Yesterday,

Went Suntec to watch the Gala Premiere of Kung Fu Dunk, By Jay Chou..

“大家好，我是方世杰！”

Happy! Mr Jay Chou and Mr Director was there, and my seats were 4th row from the front, great view of them!.. but as u can see, my handphone camera is lousy, so i didn't snap any photos..

There were about 3k pple there, a super large projector screen, a different experience from the typical cinema screening..

The movie, I won't go into details.... it's nice.. The beginning and mid story was very entertaining.. the characters, story, kingfu + basketball moves, effects are all decent.. my friend did comment the ending was abit abrupt and old fashioned though.. it reminds me abit of "Shaolin Soccer"... hmm.. I quite like it overall..

I would give it a 3.5/5 stars! =) Go catch it!

Oh ya, as for the other CNY movie "Ah Long Pte Ltd" by Fann & Mark,

hmm.. it's rather funny la.. Mark Lee is good.. so if u like Jack Neo's movies like Money No Enough, Liang PoPo etc, you would like it.. very local, got lotsa hokkien & sporean jokes.. BUT If u don't fancy them.. then don't bother catching this too.. or u may find it lame and waste money..

Starring Fann Wong, Mark Lee and Liu QianYi, this movie will be released on 7th February during the Chinese New Year season.

Haha I'm more excited about Jay Chou coming to promote for his Kung Fu Dunk though...

AR12 and a wedding dinner

last night, I went to one of the most grand wedding dinner I've ever been..
At Raffles Swissotel's ballroom, Level 4.. Of Johnson's and Jaclyn's

hmmm this wedding is large scale man.. can really see they spent extravagantly, 不手软！

They have:

professional wedding planner
cocktail serve on exquisite Ice sculptures
plenty of cocktails
delicate doorgifts
expensive gowns
Live band (bilingual) for the wedding dinner,
professional Emcees hosting
very nice decors in the grand ballroom
Expensive dishes serve proportionally to us, we don't have to lift a finger to snatch food
dishes like good grade sharks fin, fish, meat plus a baby abalone each! (serve with fork & knife for u to cut)
(I normally don't fancy abalone, but theirs was cooked until so yummy that changed my entire opinion on abalone!)
and most distinctively, they have around 100 dinner tables!!
Around 1,000 plus Guest in the house!! Woohooo its huge loh!

okie.. that's it.. I maybe envious but for mine, I rather stick to a small economical one, hehz..
or oh well, I may not have a wedding or wedding dinner at all.. =P

Amazing Race 12 Finale tonite!

So happy TK & Rachel made it to top 3, surviving Leg 11.. TK is damn cool! calm & collected, positive & nice, the kind i really enjoy watching and love to pair up with, Rachel is a nice steady partner too unlike the Jen, ever so scary: noisy and shrewd..

The Gramps are nice too.. old Grandpa Don is lovable.. Never a burden! hehz... Nick is... eh typical grandson.. cheeky but cute lah..

I don't want Ron to win.. I still hate his yelling at Christina.. don't like his unreasonable dominance on Chris.. Chris is a nice fair lady.. I admire her patience..

May the best team wins! (you know, I secretly hope not Ron.. =P)

taxi fare

yesterday i was siting in the cab discussing with the friendly malay uncle driver about the taxi fare jet.

well, we all agree this increase in taxifare was an unreasonable one which lead to a lose-lose situation for taxi uncles & us, the poor consumers.. now nobody wants to take cab anymore, i told the uncle I will boycott taking cabs unless neccessary! and I'm sure this boycott was the same for the rest of the other consumers.. (today was an exceptional case =P).. hahaha.. poor uncles also understand why we consumers were so agonised.. they in turn are sick of queuing in the taxi-stands and also experiencing poor slow income..he was whining that they also got family to feed leh! =(

We especially think the pple behind this plan were a group of deciders who lack foresight.. u know, u can't be right when the wrong world (i meant s'pore) tells you you are wrong.

The good news is.. Taxi uncle told me they are sort of proposing on revising the fares again.. probably and hopefully soon enough, we might probably see the fares come abit lower.. =)

Thank goodness.. til then, Nice-Malay-Uncle, I seriously wish u luck.. hope u meet rich taxi customers everyday k?

I talked to Andy Lau today

Okie.. the story goes..

I got invited and went to the Gala premiere of 'Warlords' earlier tonight..

This movie:

When I reached the cinema, it was already very crowd with fans as Andy Lau was coming to this gala. I saw the cocktail reception so I went straight there with my bf naturally as it was the only entrance, but to my horror, they say my ticket could not join the reception but just the movie alone.

I WAS DAMN PISSED!...not that want to drink or i "gian" but because yesterday I was puzzled and I had specifically asked that Senior Mgr how come theres no cocktail reception and she avoided my question and say Andy Lau will come say Hi to all our theatre halls...

She could have told me directly that I'm only "second class guest" and save me the embarrassment, shock and enthusiasm.. the next few minutes I stayed around there, packed in those crazy fan's crowd simply annoyed and don't even know how to and when I can make entry to the hall.. I got the tickets you know! why should I be standing there like a silly fan.. I don't even fancy Andy...

Finally near the end of the reception, i was still stopped behind the barrier, I came to know my entrance is suppose to be upstairs so I pull my bf to go up instead..He was reluctant because Andy have not appeared yet and he's scared we will miss Andy's entry.. But i insisted as I was angry with the lousy treatment i got .. No point squeezing with the packed crowd, I'm not interested!

Once we reached upstairs we went to search for the toilet and entrance.. it was surprising quiet compared to the chaotic cocktail reception downstairs.. too quiet, abit strange.. then there in front of me, where in the whole corridor was only me & my bf, was one group of black polo tee men walking towards us.. as they walk nearer, my bf stoned.. I didn't know whats going on, still looking for washroom.. haha.. those men are security guards.. in the middle was the Andy Lau. He was in happy spirits... humming and snapping his fingers while walking towards our direction.. We stoned and shocked for more than 5 seconds, laughing to ourselves.. then after a few mins.. my bf finally plucked up the courage and ask "can we take a picture?" I quickly followed and gestured : "Helo.. yaya can I take a picture with you please??"

Andy was smiley but kept walking and speak with his Cantonese accent Chinese to me: " Sorry, I'm busy.. I need to rush.. got work.." pointing to front.. Looking at my disappointed face, He remained eye contact and added two more sorrys with gesture plus the mega watt smile! In fact he was smiley in our whole "exchange"... Nice hor??

What "sorry gesture" he make to me? oh.. don't know whats that call.. u know "those informal salute kind, where his hand move up to near the eye brow with the head nodding"

We pardon him of course as he make his way down to the crowd steadily.. I can't believe I was really so obedient and didn't take any pic of him!.. I was really too shock to react ( i had a camera in my zipped handbag leh) silly silly silly.. and somehow i was scared those security will confiscate my camera if i too rash... I got no evidence of my "personal encounter with Andy" except my bf who can prove my words.. haha.. we both thought we were silly

hahaha it was blessing in disguise loh! I get bullied but I got even closer to Andy.. I can confirm u most people at the cocktail reception can't talk to him as personally as me.. He only come to say Hihi to the crowd (and maybe a few bosses) and be interviewed by the event host only..

My bf complained that Andy Lau answered to me, attentioned to me but not him because he was male.. =P

Okie.. then we proceeded into the cinema hall to watch Warlord and as expected.. he did come before the show starts to say Hihi to us. I went to the first row to snap his pictures,

however this time round, it's up close but NOT personal anymore so I was not as excited..

Stupid me got up close personal chance yet nvr snap a few without his permission..

Oh ya!.. I received 2 really disgusting prank calls on Tuesday night, I believe is the same person... The caller just make alot of harassing gross boorish bed noises until I hang up on him, twice! really idiotic if u ask me.. plus a little amusing... No i don't have any hearing problems.. my friend with me can justify that.. I thought this kind of vulgar calls will only happen in Crimewatch or other drama shows and would nvr thought it would happen to me.. I wonder seriously what he can derive out of the calls.. NVM.. I'm going report this joker to police if he dares to call again....

I'm glued to the TV set every mondays 8pm on Amazing Race 12 (AXN Ch19, Ch5 is screening too but i dunno when)!

So far I have caught all the 3 races .. and I still kinda enjoyed it very much.. not too bad and the tasks are quite challenging.. MUST WATCH!

hey.. I'm going to watch this 3 movies soon.. that's quite alot hor.. taking into consideration that I seldom watch Asian movies in the first place one... yeap! I prefer western films lehz.. and all this 3 is Asian's!! Woah...

First of all, of course: Lust, Caution by No 1 idol Tony Leung.. the only reason I had not watch it earlier is because I didn't bother about the NC16 version, which is heavily censored.. so i assume will be quite lousy and waste of my money.. but I can't believe my luck, they are now actually screening the uncensored version now... Lust, Caution R21 Version... Wooot! Heng Heng I haven't watch..

Secondly: Hero! the jap movie! not dorama ("Can u keep a secret?- by Utada starts ringing in my ears... if u watched b4 u know what I mean la) It's showing on 22nd November.. I'm sooo excited... its by my No 2 fave idol TAKU-SAN... Takuya Kimura & Matsu Takako!! (another fave!)... Happy... Shalala... anyway as if I've nvr mentioned b4, I really love his works.. I follow all his dramas I mean, ever so charismatic... he's not the most handsome, not tall not muscular, but an A+ actor... like Tony..

Thirdly: Warlords by Jet Li, Andy Lau and Takeshiro Kaneshiro 金城武.. all the big names! its an epic genre movie.. so I don't know whether u pple will be keen, but since its a blockbluster and being a Raintree movie, I will get free tickets so I will definitely be please to watch it.. also kinda like Jet Li's action style too.. yeay.. its showing in Dec soon.. I think..

On the first day when Jay Chou's concert tickets is available for sale, 5th November, hurried excitedly to Sistic online to make my booking.. to my horror, majority of them are fully-booked le.. only left with one catagory where the section seats is really veryvery terrible and lousy!.. What the hell?? Actually I guess it's because there's priority booking for OCBC Credit card holders.. But since I don't have that credit card, I decided to wait a few days until the actual public launch. Those OCBC Creditcard holders can start buying tickets abit earlier in November (or End October) before actual ticket-sale launch...
Argghh... If I have known this would happen, I would have look for friends with OCBC Creditcard and ask them for help liao.... so sickening!...how?? so I decided not to go lah! (not exactly decide rite? is becoz left with no choice).. Sucks!... Buy his new album and sulk at home loh...thats all I can do... Grrrr...

yoga day

Every Friday is Yoga day for me, started my first yoga lesson 4 weeks ago..
Invested $80+ for class fees and yoga pants.. Today surprising, my class only secured 8 attendants..
Ha.. from 20+ to 10+ now shrink to 8! those pple ah.. haiyohz!.. lazy huh? hmm.. but actually the smaller the class the cosier lah, not so crampy and instructor pays more attention to each of us.. Me? I'm lousy at it loh! Agile super bad siah! I wished I was a monkey back there leh! haha.. but luckily, I'm not one who gives up easily.. I always push myself to try & complete things I wanna achieve, like my driving license, my degree paper and my DS Lite Games.. haha.. I not aiming to be a yoga master, *bleah*, just hope to be doing abit better than now.. Good luck to me!

For this coming weekend.. I just wanna rest well! stone! sleep!! daydream!!... and relax... hmm, maybe a bowling game or a movie..
Been soooo busy with so many things on hand and in mind.. it's time to take a step back and perk myself up before the month-end closing comes which make my head goes swirling again.. sighz.. Wish me luck again!

I just finished watching the gala premiere of "Brothers" on Tuesday.. hmm.. my verdict?

Haiyah.. I thought it's going to be a blockbuster kind of movie like "Infernal Affairs" or "Protege", so my expectations therefore is quite high.. in the end.. they simply fall short.. haha...
I would give it 2.5/5 popcorns for the "outdated kinda" plot & 3/5 for the sake of the casts.. I mean its always good to see the Veteran "5 tigers" (eh 4 ar? without my Tony leung) placed together in a film..

Busy playing Phoenix Wright nowadays... hahaha.. So cute him!
I love to hear his "Take That!", "Hold it!" & "Objection!".. hmm.. I'm a pretty decent defense lawyer I must say.. =D so much better in courts than off the courts! I'm not good at snooping around for evidence outside court.. always take up so much time looking for scoops..

I just finished having lunch with my 5 colleagues and was on the way back and I took a pamphlet from the pamphlet distributor.. My colleague look at me, puzzled: "Why u take again ah? I thought just now on our way here you took one b4?"
I replied: " Ya, but you all all didn't even take one.. I see the ah-pek so ke lian so I take again loh"

The main point is, the distributor is an old ah-pek that looks like in his 60s and above, distributing a "printer and ink advertisement pamphlet". Under normal circumstances, I always find pamphlet distributor very xing ku and will always help them by taking it and lessen one piece of their workload (unless I'm super in a hurry or hands fully-occupied), let alone an old ah-pek!!! This oldold ah pek is merely earning a respectable income by doing this very decent job using his own strength, he's not begging or pushing tissues in our faces for us to buy.. I find him very admirable.. at least he never cheat pple's money or sympathy! unlike those fake monks or fake disabled beggers or pushy tissue selling aunties.... sad to say.. alot of the passerby just ignore his attempt to distribute.. even my own colleagues..
whats so hard bout taking one piece of paper leh?!! I know u all might say, save paper, we don't need thats why don't take... BULL SHIT la... Take la! he distribute finish he can go back early rest ma.. he distribute more he can earn more too.. most of the time we take also nvr buy... its just an awareness mah... argghhh...
