last last week I watch Fast and Furious 5, last Sunday (yesterday), i watch Priest!

both are good! I must say... quite entertaining, I think basically anything vampires, magical, witches u throw to me, i would like (Priest)... adventurous kind lah! dont 100% romance can die man... must have abit of triller, adventure... ... if u are bored and have not watch either one of them, go catch it... else, go catch both!

I'm a very emotional person. I feel very sad and sore at Mr Chiam's lost in the GE but yes, we should all accept it and move on.

Today, MM Lee and SM Goh has also announced resignation from the cabinet.

Singapore GE 2011

My take on GE! Come, come, come. If you don't know which party to vote, let me guide you! (Haha I'm kidding!)..

I went to SPP rally (was really touched By Mr Chiam and his passion in serving the people. "I love Singapore! I love Singaporeans!", he exclaimed... How many Minister say that from the heart?), has also been actively reading updates, manifesto on the election campaign and also watching rally videos from Internet and TV... thus, round up this conclusion.

Strategy for all Singaporeans: Hougang and Potong pasir residents - to continue vote for WP & SPP! I firmly believed Mr Chiam has bared his heart and soul to manage his estate, working against the odds of limited funds (and rigid petty PAP with their "rules" example, don't even give him a decent Meet-The-People office yet reject his proposal for funds for upgrading all the time), read

yet ensuring every single residents of his get heard and help and upgrading all the other necessaries. I really don't see any reasons why you guys must vote against him (in this case her, his wife Lina Chiam). So please, for all his efforts and the sake of holding your pride and 2 singles seats in the parliament, vote for Chiam! Vote against that Sitoh carrot! Hougang, for Worker's party, I believe they have ample funds and strength to maintain your estate. Look at their successful rallies, their drive and passion towards politics. No joke, if they are bad, you guys wouldn't have voted them in and maintain ur stand. So please continue to do so!

For GRCs.... I would say: Aljunied and Bishan-ToaPayoh residents, please please vote for WP and SPP and let's get more voices into the Parliament! Reason why I only mention these two GRCs is because I believe we have to vote in CREDIBLE opposition parties, so as I do not have that confidence in NSP, SDP, RP etc... yet.. they need more time to prove themselves. Mr Chiam and Mr Low has proven themselves for so many years... So no doubt on their credibility. So Aljunied and Bishan-TPY being their focus GRC, I wish they would succeed.

Why opposition? Simple and same old grandmother story, for the sake of government accountability, transparency and democracy. We need that check and balance. 85 out of 87 seats is from PAP.. Enough? Look at so many unhappy/stressed fellow Singaporeans suffering day to day by prices and standard of living in Singapore. The fast growth of Singapore might really leave some lagging behind, or if not, going to leave anyone of us behind sooner or later. How realistic/feasible is our policy? We need alternative advocacy voices. Yes, and I agree in what some of the opposition has raised, like:

- too many foreign talents, when to stop? those cheaper foreign talents are fighting with fellow Singaporeans for jobs, and the fact is, because they are cheaper, they got the jobs and not locals. Yet, they are mostly rowdy and unskilled/not trained properly. (not forgetting to mention they talked loudly in buses/ MRTs rudely and commit crimes in Singapore). Argh!
How about the other "higher-educated/ professional foreign talents"? They bully us at work, arrogant and competitive. how can govt fail to see that side of impact and never indicated how they going to minimise that or when to stop the increasing numbers?

-overspent on YOG... it's okie I'm not going to harp and harp and harp on it (but 2million is alot). Everyone makes mistake so we do need that check and balance to remind them of their mistakes? we understand, but we hope to remind them of their oversight with a separate opinion/voice from the other parties time-to-time before something goes really wrong! We need alternatives, not only when problems arises, but even before that.

- Mas Selamat escape.. its okie its okie, same as above.. we understand but... blar blar blar... need to check and balance..... blar blar blar..

- soaring HDB Housing prices increase and increase yet say young people can afford, not enough new flats for the increasing population and the $8k ceiling... me! one of the victims of unable to get a flat, own a flat or whatever due to the above problems. $8k and above can only buy what DBSS or private but not HDB unless reasale?? Argh...

-Hospital and medical fees, also high... Poor people can hardly afford and our Health Minister, before this GE, 1-3 yrs back.. just refuse to listen to the people. Even if he promises something now, I don't know can trust or not.

there are still lots of issues here and there but the main point is, we need alternative voices to reflect our views and opinions. Sometimes the Ministers are so rich and educated that they don't really see our real problems. For me, I think that middle-level income pple like me are always sandwiched and neglected! I'm tired of it. Help for the lower income, they are always so readily and promise to help, how about us? we just get poorer and poorer and rich gets richer...
Always no incentives, no discounts, no grants for middle income pple.. just have to pay and pay... pay still nvm...

That reminds me of ONE IMPORTANT point nothing to do with elections but overall (I'm glad some people did brought up this point in their campaign)..
I emphasize: BEFORE this election, I already have been very disturbed at one point: WHY AM I PAYING SO MUCH INCOME TAXES YET THERE ARE STILL SO MANY HOMELESS PPLE SLEEPING ON THE STREETS? Picking/snatching cupboards and cans and pushing their weird weird "luggage: around (usually a baby trolley or some old used ones they don't know pick up from where or form themselves). Depressing leh... I pay all these income taxes, GST, ERP all can, I plead that you just solve one problem for me can? Help those poor homeless/ food-less pple!!!!! You don't tell me you no money hor... I paid, pple paid and everyone paid... some even paid extras (penalties)...so u do u part and U help solve my 1 problem/wish can???? okie you might ask me where? Bedok Bedok, Bedok South... come come come!

back to GE,

The Government (mostly Ministers from PAP) did well on areas which we should really give them some credit =) . Like the safety cum security of our country.. crime rates in Singapore are kept low, we actually feel more secure and not worried that there would be kidnaps/ murder/ robberies compared to maybe when we are overseas like in Malaysia/ Thailand?
The standard of our Education. I'm actually quite proud to be a local student because our Education standards are maintain high compare to some other Asian countries. The Casinos - I actually think is a great move to boost tourism and bring in more revenue and economic benefits and also a good sign we have become more flexible and not everything says rigid! F1 also another good move. I do feel MM Lee have great foresight and perhaps PM Lee too, that's why we prosper, advance & improve.

Soooooooo... let's not be like overly-anti-PAP, we are not! The rest of the residents in other areas should still support and vote for them. While those I mention earlier on, Hougang, PP, Aljunied, Bishan-TPY give chance and vote for opposition to bring in change and alternative voices to the Parliament, isn't it win-win?

my views is, yes, he is pressured to admit these mistakes because of the strong opposition rallies and campaign talk (mostly by WP, NSP-Nicole Seah and various Heads). But if there was no GE or let's say not so much support from the public on the opposition on these issues, would he be pressured to reflect, apologise, review and improve??? that's what I mean when I say we really need that alternate advocate threat in the Parliament.

i kanna from those who brought it out of work with them.. they get frustrated at work or other stuffs and then... .... ..... don't vent it on me, honey! I'm not the cause~ why throw your unreasonable tantrums at me? the harmless victim - when obviously, it's accumulated from elsewhere?
sighz... I guess I do this sometimes too.. so I should b guilty..

If there is ever an effective medicine/pills for "anger-management" or "stress-busting", I'm sure its going to sell veryveryvery well.... with the mad high stress level around in the working society now.. how not to?

I bought like - 4 red dresses (accidentally) all of a sudden for CNY before i realised it was overdose!! okie at least I woke up and realised k?! hahahhaa no more red dresses for me (cross fingers) for awhile!!! in fact, no more shopping for clothes for 2 months! totally overspent on clothes! beside the red ones.. i still got tons of dresses...=X

I also had my virgin experience for gellish nails this month for CNY... kinda early i know.. but im always like, well-prepared rite? (like buying xmas pressie, planning holiday and stuffs) I like to plan well ahead, be prepared well ahead... esp in areas im of keen interest and cheers me =)

hmm... maybe I need a photo to round up my Jan 2011... but with 5 more days still in the bag.. no hurry... i still can wait...heh heh...

Personally, I find Scarlett extremely sexy and hot! after watching few of her movies, she simply is a gorgeous sexy magnet to me.. attract me v v very much! If im a les, she's gonna be my top goddess.. muahahaha

As for Ryan, didn't notice him til his recent movie with Sandra Bullock, The Proposal... yeap! he's equally attractive, gorgeous and cute as well... Together, what a great-looking couple they make! looks fun, exciting & compatible....
but then why these many Hollywood couples don't last?? =(

Still... all the best to them in their respective new singlehood life!

Beauty tips

I nvr really blog beauty tips in my blog because
1) i don't think im a "beauty enough for it" (simple terms: im not a beauty so tips from me is not convincing)
2) don't know if anyone reading my blog is interested at all..

anyway today, i change my mind in case some ladies are really reading and want me to share... and also.. (nothing else to blog about! =X)... erm erm... I've become slightly better-looking and slimmer compare to let's say 10 yrs back?.. hahahhaa slight improvement lah.. don't shoot me and say i think im pretty k? I KNOW I'M NOT.. at least got improve abit rite? i try to be presentable loh...

well well well...
firstly...

1) don't go to New York Skin Solutions... it doesn't work for me.. sucks... wasted thousands of dollars (on facial package for 2 yrs) there and doesn't work at all... results may vary so if u don't take my advise.. okie loh.. hope they worked for urs then

2) sunblock is a must for everyday... but sometimes when i don't get out in the sun.. i do get lazy and skip it.. when everyone else ask me not to be... so don't be as lazy as me and do it everyday... or try to be like me... everyday apply as long as i'm out in the sun..

3) we ladies, tend and love to try new products and pile alot of creams, toner, essence and whatever on the face.. and then complain they are not effective or what...
"less is more!" do let ur skin rest a little and perhaps they can absorb abit better later on...
rest a little as in: not to put products for a few days before u try new stuffs? go nude on the face 1-2 days... else everything doesn't work... ur skin is over-exposed to too many stuffs (chemicals or vits).. a break wouldbe good..
(actually I don't like to try new products now... hahaha.. in the past perhaps..)

4) start using eye creams/ gel if you haven't already... skin around my eyes aged the fastest =(... i think this applies to all of us... do start to take care of it...

5) as im writing this.. my right cheek is feeling itchy and all... rashes again! (of coz not scratching k? cannot scratch) how ironic!.. i need ur beauty tips instead! someone..... pls share tips bout this to me... lol... my skin is just hyper-sensitive lah... rashes come quite often.. sighz

6) clean ur face not more than 2 times a day.. once before bed and once in the morning..
too much cleaning stripped off the natural oils and keep ur skin dry and dull.. i supposed that's overcleaning!

7) apply makeup moderately.. if u r a pro.. go ahead flaunt ur skills! some pple are jus super chio and make-up like professional models man! envious... if u r not.. put less loh.. don't experiment everything at once and look like some wayang actresses.. and everyone needs a little makeup bah... esp when you go out.. so don't be too bare also.. esp when dating ;p...

8) sleep 7 hrs a day! but i jus sleep 5-6 hrs in the weekdays myself.. sighz

Caught this movie in the weekend.. by Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.

I can say by now, me and my dearest are fans of Katherine Heigl, she is just so pretty and easy on the eyes.. funny and all.. it is like her every movie, we have went to support it in the cinema these days... and the genre of movies she chose to act is like: always romantic comedies... my fave genre!

and Josh Duhamel!! surprise! was even funnier and eye candy as well... with tall built and muscular frame... yummy... (i remember the hunky handsome him in the fountain and coin show rite?, ya i just googled, its "When in Rome"! the movie starring him too which i watched not too long ago..)

Overall I liked it, their chemistry (and the fact that yes, couples are not perfect, they quarrel, its okie to be imperfect) and cutie baby Sophie..

Critics give them 3 stars, i give them 4! for both leading artistes =D

basic thing i find that, we ladies, should be good listeners.. sometimes when men got their woes, they need a decent listener to be supportive and care for them...

another thing is to keep up with your looks and appearance, not every guy need that.. but some men are... merely shallow.. like it or not, maintaining your appearance keeps them from straying also...

last nite I met up with my uni friends which inspired me to today's question..
Why do relationship flames die off?

what happened was: my friend was telling me her friend's story... (really not my story!!!) Can't tell names to protect innocent parties whom I don't even actually know..

This Guy A, his girlfriend of 10 years who he proposed to, and already shared to buy a condo with, bought wedding package with, runs away!... yes! the girl friend aka wife-to-be run away with another guy... =(
okie, it's not literally run away but something like walk off from the relationship overnight (or over a few days etc).. a ten-years relationship! cant be compared to this new guy, who apparently could be a little more attractive as this thirdparty is an Italian guy..
I feel sad for Guy A not as a friend (coz I dunno him mah) but as a stranger listening to his story... why is that woman so heartless!?!??! I thought only men are capable of such things?

so moral of the story is, both guys and girls are capable of being heartbreakers and total bullies... why a 10-yr relationships flame would just die off like that?? and not like our parents era of "happily ever afters?"

okie maybe i should make less of a hoohaa since they are like not even married yet (but still TEN YEARS leh! -_-") and couples do bond and break easily before marriage.. BUT..
Why are there so many married couples breaking up too!! like latest Courtney Cox and David Arquette and Christina Aguilera and her husband etc and lots more?

they were like soooooo much in love once rite? everyone of them and also everyone of us
so how do we keep the flame going on strong?

Make it a point my dearest friends... Every relationship should be carefully managed, no matter long or short, married or not.. put our best efforts and foot in consistently, don't neglect and we will have lesser regrets...
I used to have a very naive thinking that as long as 2 person both love each other and make a point to keep a relationship going, it will all worked out eventually rather magically or easily.. but at "modern days" like this, where there are simply too much 3rd 4th 5th 6th...7th...factors.. I have to admit I'm too traditional and naive (stupid) for this love game... nothing is impossible and anything can happen..
(of course, do not start being over-doubtful or overbearingly concern or suspicious or careful lah, scary leh!)

What is she thinking? she used to be as flat as Stephanie Sun... I can't be wrong coz I used to like her and read news bout how she and Stephanie share tips to enhance the bust because theirs are simply too small (she's from my Era and was in person in Temasek Poly once to promote her album so no way I'm wrong k?) and would have continued to like her if she isn't trying soooo hard... but all this bust enhancing is OVERBOARD and disgusts me.. who is she trying to kid? Plastic surgery right?... if not.. put so much cushions ah?? please! put cushions also must put moderate capacity mah...doesn't even fit her frame size (height and weight) don't put so much can?... teach all the youngsters the wrong things man... bad influence (silently)... trying to be a sex symbol/goddess ah? I rather go for naturals like Shu Qi or Vivian Hsu..... yucks u!! please wear more clothes and stop showing those fake boobs or padded breasts ~ "long kou"

For the above reasons... I stayed with the Natural Stephanie Sun and not with her... I do like some of her songs, do like her in the beginning of her career and agrees she can sing and dance well... but I don't like her character or the way she bring (portrays) herself nowadays (ya and her infamous diet habits and princess-y temper)... again... simply because she TRIED TOO HARD to be a true "DIVA"..
