handover

Background:
Strawberry is leaving the company and Starfruit will be taking over her duties. Handover period was 5 days because their superior Jackfruit took quite sometime in recruiting.

Scene 1: Strawberry taught Starfruit on Day One some of the job routine & procedures and also her filing system. She taught Starfruit the invoicing system which took Starfruit consecutively 3 days to pick up after hands-on whereas Strawberry's co-partner (her back-up) just took 20 mins..

Scene 2: Strawberry taught her the calculation of sales commission which is quite hard to handle as it take some experience & knowledge of the sales product in the company and there are a lot of guide-lines to follow. As Strawberry was really worried for Starfruit because Starfruit also has no relevant experience, therefore she asked her to try it hands-on first, doing it as a trial practice. Starfruit just skimmed through it hastily and look forward to Strawberry to proceed on from there for her.

Scene 3 : Strawberry taught Starfruit how to pass the Deferred Income, accrued revenue and related journal entries, how to update the balance sheet spreadsheet to pass GL entries on Day Two and Day Three, Starfruit went rattling "okayokay" jotting down notes happily, On Day five, maybe Starfruit suddenly felt panicky (perhaps the real sense of urgency finally hit her), demands to learn more about it, eventually she starts asking: " Can you do now first for this month??, just do now, together now lah!", Strawberry was amused at her words, the journal entries are always passed in month-end for period closing, how could she not know that? How can she just want to push away her duties & responsibilities and avoid to put the starting step out to try...

Scene 4: Strawberry taught Starfruit on Day One her entire filing system. She told her how to match her Invoice with SO and then DO.. On Day Two, Strawberry was worried Starfruit might forgot how to do it because she recalled Starfruit never jot down anything nor tried matching the documents herself, so she asked her "Oh yah, do you know how to match the invoices?" and Starfruit stared coldly at the un-filed documents and replied," Yeah, I think so, just match the numbers right?".. On Day Five, Starfruit asked Strawberry, "Eh, how to match the invoices? I don't know, I think I better do hands-on so that I know".. After Strawberry matched & file 2 invoices to show her, the next minute, Starfruit points bluntly at the remainder around 10-15 un-filed and exclaimed: "How come there's still so many haven't filed? Can you filed it all yourself before you go?" Strawberry was pissed.. She thought to herself bitterly: Who was the one holding up her time for the past five days? How could She have time when she was doing explanation for 8 hours for a straight 5 days? Did she heard wrongly on the part that someone silly named Starfruit proclaimed she wants to do Hands-on? Who the heck was she to tell her this when even Strawberry's Senior practice was to accumulate the recent invoices first before filing because different documents need some time to get back to her, and by filing without matching would be Stupid as its more time-consuming. Strawberry didn't bother to debate with her anymore. She has come to know "her pattern"... These few scenes listed were just SOME of the entire 5 day episode that Strawberry was so exhausted from.. there were so much more than that.. Anyway, That was the LAST straw... She angrily took all the documents to file in another desk and left the Starfruit alone..
