I'm one who strongly believe in Moderation as my personal key philosophy.
I mean, we need to strike a balance in the way we handle stuff & beliefs and not be too extremist nor slack & lack of passion.
So whenever u drive yourself into a corner with too strong a belief or stubborn thoughts, slow down, halt and seek moderation. When you r doing extreme stuff, think about it too.
Or if u are too slack, uncertain, dilly dailly about stuff u've been wanting to do for ages.. please buck up too.

Well Moderation works (or guide) in alot of different scenarios and situation in the course of life... not only on beliefs but also habits, preferences or stuff. Works for me =)

I love my Daddy... but I've never told him before.

And you know what, it's not surprising at all. Looking at him, it's like looking at myself. We are very much alike, in terms of character. All inherited from him.. We are never that expressive and affectionate on the surface towards the family members and each other, but deep down, we are madly attached. He never tell me he love me before too, but I know he does. I hope he knows about mine too.... alot, alot.

To me, it's the feelings, care and actions, not about declaring to the whole world by telling him how much you care bout him and speaking up means u win.
For example, if he noticed I have not eaten, he would not ask me if I'm hungry, but like casually telling me there's food in the kitchen or pretending to want go find food himself but I know it's for me. We are never that direct. I'm like that too. I always pretend pretend bring home stuff and hope he eats more and its all for him. So we actually care alot alot, but not by asking, its the unspoken type. I'm the same towards my brother and maybe my mother. Its inherited so don't ask me why so woody... My mother is the opposite though, always expressive and outspoken, if you never asked about her, she would think that u don't care and misunderstand! then maybe she would think u r horrible since u don't care.. i dont think she can ever feel the hidden care behind some actions unless u spell it out... butbutbut daddy and me are shaped the other way leh.. we would never spell it out directly... i hope she really understand it eventually... i don't know about my brother though, sometimes he's like my father alot too, but there are also times hes as expressive as the mother... in between maybe

Having said all that, this lousy inexpressive character of mine above doesn't really applies to my relationships and friends outside.. maybe its the culture over years and the people influences on me, I'm all about telling my boyfriend how much I love him and always seeking that sort of attention back.. Same as telling my friends I love them and I care for them. Why can't I do that to Daddy Tan and bro Tan ah? it's just so different and weird if I do it... Shrugs!

I'm back to short scribbles

Feeling too lazy for proper writing therefore going back to totally random short notes:

1) Emotions- Realize that anger is so much easier to deal with than sadness. Anger always comes and goes quite fast, or at least I'm able to talk myself into cooling down very fast but when u r upset, it's more unmanageable & uncontrollable. It just linger and weighs u. Having said that, instead of managing the uncontrollable, the more rational solution is to make sure ur Happiness stays longer than sadness. Think about it as an equation: If happiness stays longer than sadness + anger, u won't lugi so much :)
Let the happiness linger instead of sadness. Chase all anger away.

2) Superficial things like looks and beauty will fade. It's the heart that counts.

3) Glee season 2 has ended :( no more gleeish music for me.. Shld I buy their cd? Who on earth buy CD nowadays besides me?? Everyone just download to iPod iPhone hor?

4) Don't think too highly of yourself. We always give advises, lectures, preaches to others machiam we know what's best for them and their scenarios/issues/relationships/problems but we can be wrong. No matter how experienced, wise, knowledgeable one is, we can't solve everything and nvr be wrong. We cannot be always right. So do not be too proud or overconfident incase we are wrong and it's the person u cared for, that suffers. My point is, be skeptical to our own advices and b open to learn.

5) I suspect I get cranky if I haven't drink coffee in the mornings. Should I kick that caffeine habit?

6) Edge of glory is nice too! If u don't know what's that.. Then u r a noob! Lol

7) If I buy clothes every other day, is it too much? :p

If you think I am one of those ladies who is obsessed about losing weight or dieting, think twice: u may not know but I'm one of the few ladies who still frequent fast food restaurants, 1-2 times a week! Hahaha, how many ladies of my age, still does that man? Especially girl pals who will always reject me and say unhealthy ah, no fried food pls ah.. Fattening ah.. Etcetcetc.. Seldom would join me one.. They all "grew out of it" and would usually avoid.. At most mos burger or yoshinoya.. But for me, hahaha not that I really fancy lah, but I really don't care fat or not fat, fried or not fried, healthy or unhealthy, as long as its convenient fast and cheap, I dun mind leh.. Sometimes crave also.. And also because of part time classes and bf preferences la, I eat it weekly! KFC Fried chicken, Mac fries and coke! :)
Now.. Even the free coke glass tempted me to upsize the meal! Hahaha
So happy I got the pink one! Purple shall be mine next!!!

I get increasingly frustrated and impatient at pple who always make me second-guess their thoughts instead of being frank and direct. To the extent, I think that is already considered some sort of manipulation. As much as I admit I'm hard to predict or guess myself, in terms of behaviour and thoughts, I'm not like that at all!

I'm an open book and super direct when it comes to issues like this.

Me: where are we going for lunch?

Close Colleague: where u suggest?

Me: Go central (bus interchange) loh

CC: no lah... so hot, today sun very big, hottttt!

Me: ok, then market loh... as usual, we always walk there with brolly, can rite?

CC: dont want lah.. lazy..

Me: huh? U want canteen ah? (in house canteen which both of us hate)

CC: yes loh canteen loh..

Me: eh okie!

10 mins later,

CC: U know my new shoes super pain!!! can hardly walk since morning... later dont know how to go shopping after work siah

Then during lunch, Me found out she can barely walk with those new shoes and that should be the real reason why I suppose she only wants to go to the canteen from the very beginning. Why make me go round merry-go-round asking? -_-"

I'm a very emotional person. I feel very sad and sore at Mr Chiam's lost in the GE but yes, we should all accept it and move on.

Singapore GE 2011

My take on GE! Come, come, come. If you don't know which party to vote, let me guide you! (Haha I'm kidding!)..

I went to SPP rally (was really touched By Mr Chiam and his passion in serving the people. "I love Singapore! I love Singaporeans!", he exclaimed... How many Minister say that from the heart?), has also been actively reading updates, manifesto on the election campaign and also watching rally videos from Internet and TV... thus, round up this conclusion.

Strategy for all Singaporeans: Hougang and Potong pasir residents - to continue vote for WP & SPP! I firmly believed Mr Chiam has bared his heart and soul to manage his estate, working against the odds of limited funds (and rigid petty PAP with their "rules" example, don't even give him a decent Meet-The-People office yet reject his proposal for funds for upgrading all the time), read

yet ensuring every single residents of his get heard and help and upgrading all the other necessaries. I really don't see any reasons why you guys must vote against him (in this case her, his wife Lina Chiam). So please, for all his efforts and the sake of holding your pride and 2 singles seats in the parliament, vote for Chiam! Vote against that Sitoh carrot! Hougang, for Worker's party, I believe they have ample funds and strength to maintain your estate. Look at their successful rallies, their drive and passion towards politics. No joke, if they are bad, you guys wouldn't have voted them in and maintain ur stand. So please continue to do so!

For GRCs.... I would say: Aljunied and Bishan-ToaPayoh residents, please please vote for WP and SPP and let's get more voices into the Parliament! Reason why I only mention these two GRCs is because I believe we have to vote in CREDIBLE opposition parties, so as I do not have that confidence in NSP, SDP, RP etc... yet.. they need more time to prove themselves. Mr Chiam and Mr Low has proven themselves for so many years... So no doubt on their credibility. So Aljunied and Bishan-TPY being their focus GRC, I wish they would succeed.

Why opposition? Simple and same old grandmother story, for the sake of government accountability, transparency and democracy. We need that check and balance. 85 out of 87 seats is from PAP.. Enough? Look at so many unhappy/stressed fellow Singaporeans suffering day to day by prices and standard of living in Singapore. The fast growth of Singapore might really leave some lagging behind, or if not, going to leave anyone of us behind sooner or later. How realistic/feasible is our policy? We need alternative advocacy voices. Yes, and I agree in what some of the opposition has raised, like:

- too many foreign talents, when to stop? those cheaper foreign talents are fighting with fellow Singaporeans for jobs, and the fact is, because they are cheaper, they got the jobs and not locals. Yet, they are mostly rowdy and unskilled/not trained properly. (not forgetting to mention they talked loudly in buses/ MRTs rudely and commit crimes in Singapore). Argh!
How about the other "higher-educated/ professional foreign talents"? They bully us at work, arrogant and competitive. how can govt fail to see that side of impact and never indicated how they going to minimise that or when to stop the increasing numbers?

-overspent on YOG... it's okie I'm not going to harp and harp and harp on it (but 2million is alot). Everyone makes mistake so we do need that check and balance to remind them of their mistakes? we understand, but we hope to remind them of their oversight with a separate opinion/voice from the other parties time-to-time before something goes really wrong! We need alternatives, not only when problems arises, but even before that.

- Mas Selamat escape.. its okie its okie, same as above.. we understand but... blar blar blar... need to check and balance..... blar blar blar..

- soaring HDB Housing prices increase and increase yet say young people can afford, not enough new flats for the increasing population and the $8k ceiling... me! one of the victims of unable to get a flat, own a flat or whatever due to the above problems. $8k and above can only buy what DBSS or private but not HDB unless reasale?? Argh...

-Hospital and medical fees, also high... Poor people can hardly afford and our Health Minister, before this GE, 1-3 yrs back.. just refuse to listen to the people. Even if he promises something now, I don't know can trust or not.

there are still lots of issues here and there but the main point is, we need alternative voices to reflect our views and opinions. Sometimes the Ministers are so rich and educated that they don't really see our real problems. For me, I think that middle-level income pple like me are always sandwiched and neglected! I'm tired of it. Help for the lower income, they are always so readily and promise to help, how about us? we just get poorer and poorer and rich gets richer...
Always no incentives, no discounts, no grants for middle income pple.. just have to pay and pay... pay still nvm...

That reminds me of ONE IMPORTANT point nothing to do with elections but overall (I'm glad some people did brought up this point in their campaign)..
I emphasize: BEFORE this election, I already have been very disturbed at one point: WHY AM I PAYING SO MUCH INCOME TAXES YET THERE ARE STILL SO MANY HOMELESS PPLE SLEEPING ON THE STREETS? Picking/snatching cupboards and cans and pushing their weird weird "luggage: around (usually a baby trolley or some old used ones they don't know pick up from where or form themselves). Depressing leh... I pay all these income taxes, GST, ERP all can, I plead that you just solve one problem for me can? Help those poor homeless/ food-less pple!!!!! You don't tell me you no money hor... I paid, pple paid and everyone paid... some even paid extras (penalties)...so u do u part and U help solve my 1 problem/wish can???? okie you might ask me where? Bedok Bedok, Bedok South... come come come!

The Government (mostly Ministers from PAP) did well on areas which we should really give them some credit =) . Like the safety cum security of our country.. crime rates in Singapore are kept low, we actually feel more secure and not worried that there would be kidnaps/ murder/ robberies compared to maybe when we are overseas like in Malaysia/ Thailand?
The standard of our Education. I'm actually quite proud to be a local student because our Education standards are maintain high compare to some other Asian countries. The Casinos - I actually think is a great move to boost tourism and bring in more revenue and economic benefits and also a good sign we have become more flexible and not everything says rigid! my views is, yes, he is pressured to admit these mistakes because of the strong opposition rallies and campaign talk (mostly by WP, NSP-Nicole Seah and various Heads). But if there was no GE or let's say not so much support from the public on the opposition on these issues, would he be pressured to reflect, apologise, review and improve??? that's what I mean when I say we really need that alternate advocate threat in the Parliament.

I think my work is making me more and more short-tempered cum impatient these days

no excuses though, its me.. i know i know... adjusting... I'm rather unhappy being that uncontrollable and "un-nice" too...
thus... i tried my best not to bring those negativity and furies out-of-work, out-of-office, yet still...
i kanna from those who brought it out of work with them.. they get frustrated at work or other stuffs and then... .... ..... don't vent it on me, honey! I'm not the cause~ why throw your unreasonable tantrums at me? the harmless victim - when obviously, it's accumulated from elsewhere?
sighz... I guess I do this sometimes too.. so I should b guilty..

If there is ever an effective medicine/pills for "anger-management" or "stress-busting", I'm sure its going to sell veryveryvery well.... with the mad high stress level around in the working society now.. how not to?

busybusy rite?

Feb is a busy month (as usual!) due to CNY and Vday...

OMG! I'm sooooo in red... even my Vday attire was red last nite... muahahahaa

I bought like - 4 red dresses (accidentally) all of a sudden for CNY before i realised it was overdose!! okie at least I woke up and realised k?! hahahhaa no more red dresses for me (cross fingers) for awhile!!! in fact, no more shopping for clothes for 2 months! totally overspent on clothes! beside the red ones.. i still got tons of dresses...=X

my wardrobe and cupboard are bursting!!! muaahahhaa but bursting of happiness i hope! =)
anyway, today is not 15th of Lunar calendar yet (oh today is 初十三!) CNY not over yet... so let me still take the chance to wish all of u from here 新年快乐， 万事如意！here k?

Jan 2011 to me so far has been tough (WORK portion mostly).... but getting better..
I also had my virgin experience for gellish nails this month for CNY... kinda early i know.. but im always like, well-prepared rite? (like buying xmas pressie, planning holiday and stuffs) I like to plan well ahead, be prepared well ahead... esp in areas im of keen interest and cheers me =)

hmm... maybe I need a photo to round up my Jan 2011... but with 5 more days still in the bag.. no hurry... i still can wait...heh heh...
