to maintain a r/s?
from the ladies pt of view, we need constant TLC...tender loving care... constant!
and also some sweet little surprises or romantic elements now and then, I'm easy to please! cant say the same about the rest the ladies and all...
how about men? (roars: TELL ME????)
basic thing i find that, we ladies, should be good listeners.. sometimes when men got their woes, they need a decent listener to be supportive and care for them...
another thing is to keep up with your looks and appearance, not every guy need that.. but some men are... merely shallow.. like it or not, maintaining your appearance keeps them from straying also...

men and women can both be heartless
last nite I met up with my uni friends which inspired me to today's question..
Why do relationship flames die off?
what happened was: my friend was telling me her friend's story... (really not my story!!!) Can't tell names to protect innocent parties whom I don't even actually know..
This Guy A, his girlfriend of 10 years who he proposed to, and already shared to buy a condo with, bought wedding package with, runs away!... yes! the girl friend aka wife-to-be run away with another guy... =(
okie, it's not literally run away but something like walk off from the relationship overnight (or over a few days etc).. a ten-years relationship! cant be compared to this new guy, who apparently could be a little more attractive as this thirdparty is an Italian guy..
I feel sad for Guy A not as a friend (coz I dunno him mah) but as a stranger listening to his story... why is that woman so heartless!?!??! I thought only men are capable of such things?
so moral of the story is, both guys and girls are capable of being heartbreakers and total bullies... why a 10-yr relationships flame would just die off like that?? and not like our parents era of "happily ever afters?"
okie maybe i should make less of a hoohaa since they are like not even married yet (but still TEN YEARS leh! -_-") and couples do bond and break easily before marriage.. BUT..
Why are there so many married couples breaking up too!! like latest Courtney Cox and David Arquette and Christina Aguilera and her husband etc and lots more?
they were like soooooo much in love once rite? everyone of them and also everyone of us
so how do we keep the flame going on strong?
Make it a point my dearest friends... Every relationship should be carefully managed, no matter long or short, married or not.. put our best efforts and foot in consistently, don't neglect and we will have lesser regrets...
I used to have a very naive thinking that as long as 2 person both love each other and make a point to keep a relationship going, it will all worked out eventually rather magically or easily.. but at "modern days" like this, where there are simply too much 3rd 4th 5th 6th...7th...factors.. I have to admit I'm too traditional and naive (stupid) for this love game... nothing is impossible and anything can happen..
(of course, do not start being over-doubtful or overbearingly concern or suspicious or careful lah, scary leh!)

gotta buy nice pressies for my 2 love ones... my bro and my baby
then bought the Iphone 4G for myself! muahhaha.. my birthday k? of coz can pamper myself rite?...some more is re-contract pricing (ya my Iphone 3 is 2-yrs old lu!)... so got discount k..
then there is Angie's wedding and Felicia's baby shower... spend spend spend
then then there is mooncake (mid autumn) festival.. spend spend spend...
then my follow-up appt with the skin doctor... so so so... here i am... BROKE (once again)! but happy!

Step Up 3 and Rick Malambri
oh!.. I watched Step up 3 over the weekend le.. its nice! much better then the "childish" Street dance... hahhaa plot and standard about the same as Step Up 2... i watched in 2D... eh eh that main lead who plays Luke - Rick Malambri hor... resemble my Arsenal Captain - Fabregas leh... muahhahaa see see! okie lah... im not saying they are splitting image lah... but somehow the "air" seems the same leh...

over the weekend... ... I went... erm.. ya... Zouk!

its at $30 for guys $25 for ladies i think... didnt pay for it so not very sure... Citibank creditcard holders get $10 off i think..
anyway... I dont like the music wor..can barely groove along... tried hard.. and i feel super over-aged in there... all the xiao meimeis and xiao di dis.. seems typical from polys or unis... old old me!!!
if u like angmos.. maybe can go check it out... got a number of ang mo guys picking ladies to accompany them thru the night.. I think la.. and ladies pls protect urself.. pls do not attempt to look for bfs there and say I teach one ah...i didn't.. i don't prefer angmos... I'm fine with asians... but I'm not against going into proper r/s with angmos lah.. those SPGs... okie lah... very open minded.. as long as one is happy.. who cares what u preference is..

okie on Sunday I watched Street Dance.. which is Step Up part 3... hmmm... average film.. no surprises... if u like to watch dance moves.. ... then of coz dont miss it lah... oh i didn't watch the 3D version... just the 2D one... heh... ya and ate the Korean BBQ Chicken... not too bad but too costly..

totally random part 2!
heh heh.. I find jotting short thoughts and senseless stuffs so breezy... so here comes part 2!! muahahhaa (continued from last post yesterday)
(1) TGIF! hahahha 2pm! my TGIF feel finally came... this morning, still stressed and exhausted... say no TGIF mood.. now it came! *smiles sheepishly*
(2) in case u got me wrong, I got support Elvin's 9pm show hor... just find the Felicia's part, DYT's part all damn boring..
(3) I have to go buy my shampoo in Orchard Ion every time coz only Sephora has it.. just bought one bottle yesterday =/
(4) my eyelashes are so long now that I can't wear sunglasses... hahhaa... of coz its the fake eyelashes lah!
(5) My colleague suddenly reminded me of my urge to travel after telling me her honeymoon plans... I also want a holiday plan! don't have one leh... (take note is holiday plan not holiday.. just plan first even if its far far later on also shiok)
(6) I don't camwhore often... in fact, no camwhore at all *smiles sheepishly again*... this is one rare occasion: (ah ya yes, for you only! =D.. not photo-shopped, no edits, no perfect makeup, no fancy attire & accessories, no professional camera...hmm just rubbish me)
(7) I think true friends should really care & feel happy for other people, as in for their goodfriends... some self-centred pple forgot about this sometimes... when u share good news or happy things with them.. they either (i) put you down, (ii) start comparing it with themselves or (iii) become madly envious and start copying what u did or start gossiping bout it. But True Friends won't behave that way. They will really be happy for you :) from the bottom of the heart,.... I would be.
(8) sometimes when I get very worn out, fatigued and dizzy, I'm afraid i would die of some freak accident like one in the movie, Final Destination.. ya, it would be more freaky if I'm really that careless and it happened and u guys read this.. hahhaa (choi... good luck to me)
(9) when will IPhone 4 be in Singapore? Should I get it on the first day launched here or later?? IPad should get???

With Spain triumphing for the first time yesterday 12th July as the World Cup Champions 2010, WC has come to an end...

From the nervy start of a lost to the Swiss to much improvements like the edging over Giants Germany and the boring but rough Dutch... They are a deserving side! We love to see their passes and their controlling the most... Although the team has scored the least compared to past Champions, I still find this Spain team exciting and the best...
Casillas, Alonso, Xavi, Villa, Torres, Iniesta, Ramos, Puyol, Pique, Fabregas... U guys are all my favorites! Love Spaniards!!!

World Cup fever continues...
Been so busy with the world cup... no time to blog wor... why? supporting Brasil and Espana loh!

okie... now that Brazil has sail though Chile smoothly.. its time for the Dutch! eeekkksss! against also my fav Van Persie and Van de Vaart!!!.... hahaha.. may the better team wins! I predict it will be Brazil based on the performance last night against Chile and Netherlands against Slovakia... Netherlands was boring and kinda helpless in the match... esp the beginning... not threatening at all... but Slovakia was even worse... so fair result for Netherlands to march on... but facing the Brazil team which becomes stronger and stronger after each match.. unless Brazil gets too complacent or Netherlands pull some tactics.. I predict Brazil can edge them..
3-2!!! nonono... no that i predict a 3-2 scoreline...it was a result of a past match that left an impression in me deeply... I remembered it was a World Cup Match duno from 1994 or 1998 (semis or quarter finals)... where I watched Brazil vs Netherlands with almost a heart attack... super exciting and close match... great match both attacking teams which I think Brazil won by 3-2.. barely... I was supporting Brazil as 1st fav and Holland as 2nd fav then... and then they met and produced that best fixture... I hope this time round... the same sort of exciting competition would happened =) (and maybe secretly hopefully Brazil can triumph) muahahaha

Stress Management
A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it."
"If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."
He continued, "And that’s the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on."
"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."
"So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don’t carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you’re carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can."
"Relax; pick them up later after you’ve rested. Life is short Enjoy it!"
And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
1. Accept that some days you’re the pigeon, and some days you’re the statue.
2. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
3. Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4. Drive carefully. It’s not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

yippeeee... last nite... Brazil vs Ivory Coast.. Brazil improved and did well.. 3-1! hahaha i didt judge them entirely by the scoreline but the overall performance.. Brazil's passes were good... defense look solid.. chances created was more.. more dangerous shots on goal...more enjoyable to watch... really did much better than in the 1st match against North Korea, so they totally deserve this win :)))))
it's a 2.30am match again.... so having to work on the bright (blue) monday.. i didnt completed watching the whole game so I didn't see Kaka being sent off... hahaha when they are alrdy 3-0 up, I was happy enough and K.Oed (sleep)...
Hope the same improvement spell works for Spain squad as well.... start using Cesc Fabregas perhaps! =))))

im back!!!
my exam was on last Tuesday... was busybusybusy but now I'm back & better!!!
okie la.. better as in mood better!
World Cup for me only started on 15th Jun due to the exam paper... so meaning yes... I did miss a few matches at the beginning... but no prob! ever since then, Ive been watching and breathing World Cup =)))))
I think a part of everyone would always love to see some upsets & wanna support the underdogs... which explains why I'm still feeling the difference and missing Sweden very much... why they couldn't qualify?? why? pls tell me why??? Now im left with no underdogs to support!!... sighz!... so back to those highly-favoured teams to support... but it actually irks me if my fav teams are everyone else's favourite too (oh dear I do always like to be different) or pple deemed me as supporting strong sides only... well im not supporting them on the basis they are stronger teams hor! I've been sticking to those teams which I supported way back since the last few world cups on various reason then and their football and style really entertained me more, which appeals to me la...and their players I actually recognise and adore... my favourite 3 still no change yet.. despite their lousy performances, I believe and hope they can pull up their socks and perform better at their 2nd and 3rd Group matches! Ganbatte neh! More reviews later on after more matches... so bad to review them badly after just 1 match rite..and I believe I have grumbled enough on Facebook already... hahaha

"Killer" weekend
As promised with Ashton, I went to watch Killers during the weekend on Sat.. hahhaa... one-party promise that is..
anyway... I had a small misfortune.. totally wasted 20bucks!.. what happened was: we went to book online wanting to watch at Orchard Cineleisure.. while my baby did the booking and selection of seats and I offered to pay with my cc.. so after he made the selection, I just went blindly ahead to key in my cc details to pay... who knows to my dismay, the confirmation details reflected AFTER I entered was Movie: A Night at Elm's Street!
(hahahaa sadly, later on we realised it's becoz when he press the back button, he didn't select the movie correctly... bleah!) We wanted to reverse the situation by going down to exchange.. but the online seating plan reads that Cineleisure is almost already fully booked for Killers.. so I doubt theres any seat for exchange.. therefore we had no choice but to part with my $20 sadly while baby paid for the move somewhere else becoz I so badly wanted to watch Killers only =P... we booked at a real ulu place with seats... Causeway point!!!!
hahhahahaa never been there for ages! ULU cinema!

Ashton is sooooooooo gorgeous that my eyes was glued to the screen every min for that 102mins.. hahaha.. I liked it and surprisely, we also find Katherine Helgl hot! I mean during the ugly truth.. she was so-so but she looked amazing in this one with all the different hairstyles and bras... haha.. the plot was so-so lah but these 2 stars, the romance-comedy sparkles & the humourous but reality bicker between the couple made it worthly to watch... For ashton and katherine I would give the movie a full 5 stars.. haha.. otherwise 3 stars then..

hahaha I mean if u know me well... u would have known that I completed all the past seasons of SATC dvds, I am a fan! and therefore I had to do this review.. haha... I simply had to! after watching SATC 2...
Just caught it last nite with one of my bestie.. She prefers SATC 1 movie... but I like this second one more than the first movie.. I don't exactly remember the whole SATC 1 plot but vaguely, about a disastrous wedding between Big and Carrie.. I think this sequel is more light-hearted and funnier... more topics like motherhood, menopause, new marriage woes, career crisis.. the focus is less on the EMO side of individual girls (esp Carrie Bradshaw) which cracked me up more.. well... after a hard day's work on a Thursday evening... reunion with the ladies sauciness, confidence and joke is so much better than seeing too much of Carrie's indecisiveness and freaking out (tearing).. i mean ya... if u want those sensitive emo portion... go watch the dvds of the past seasons...a 2 hour movie cannot capture as much sensitive details then a full complete season, so I love the "sparks" of this movie by putting everything in place in a quicker pace than dragging it too long... for this movie, I really like Samantha's upfront candidness and outspoken character! shes my fav in this movie...bravo to this 52 menopause lady!
u know, throughout the past HBO seasons and 2 movies.. my favourite character move from Charlotte to Samantha then Carrie then back to Samantha..
actually all the 4 ladies are great! distinct cum attractive.. including Miranda.. thus this further justify my character and taste change now and then... that is why when each lady relate to me at different times.. my taste differs and fluctuate each time.. I grow up with the ladies! I love them! =)

World Cup Celebration
Bebeto: Brazil vs. Holland (1994)
It is a well-known fact that footballers like to procreate, so someone was always going to celebrate the birth of their child after scoring a goal. Leave it to the Brazilians to make it look good though, as striker Bebeto brought the 'cradle-rocking' celebration to the world's attention. Having netted against Holland in the quarter-finals, Bebeto ran to the touchline to be joined by teammates Romario and Mazinho before they all started to rock an imaginary baby in tribute to the striker's potency (on and off the pitch). is not that i don't wanna blog in "contents".. but its because sometimes i really wonder who read my blog and i dun wan 1 person to read and know me from here.. its creepy... and ya I'm referring to one person in particular... that's why I'm avoiding to go "in depth" at times.. but heck la... now come to think of it...shouldn't let 1 person affect me on blogging.. that 1 person may gave up reading it liao so lets update here more k?
I don't really know why but from somewhere along this year.. I suddenly feel OLD... like exhausted old... like old "old"... u know what i mean? ;P
it's nothing to do with my good friends being married or having babies... i don't think others can ever affect me... I'm too 'individualist" & never the type to compare and compete but perhaps guess its the mentality changed over years over incidents.. shrugs... suddenly i remembered in my teens.. i told Wanqing / Maggie I wanna get married at/by 24.. marry young have kids young settle young... but look!.. for 4 yrs.. i don't really care that it didn't happen..
but now it came back???? Maybe? hahaha... its too late anyway...
things don't actually always happen the way we plan rite? i should be at the peak of my happy career too? but am I? dreams change too!
let's be practical... but keep moving.. towards our innate self.. and quit measuring, quit judging... get rid of that old shell.. 10 yrs down the road.. where would I be? not the way i plan now for 10 years later? may not be a bad thing after all =)

I'm so bored that I decided to blog random rants here...
hahaha... my blog is not a movie review webbie anyway so let's revert abit for today..
been spending lots and lots of $$$ buying clothes online... hahaha.. those kawaii models made those dresses so appealing that I simply buy and buy and buy!... hahaha short goal for May.. no more buying (for this month at least)!!

afterwhich, gotta start EXAM revision soon! and spend more bucks on revision class -_-"

sometimes I think I'm a very shallow person... because it just take little little superficial things to cheer/perk me up easily... perhaps a piece of chocolate, a sundae, a sms or just a little touch..heh heh.. so I'm looking forward to Mcdonalds tonight to lighten up my spirits for the day... hahaha.. is not that i got a hot date at fast food hor.. is because I've got evening class thats why can go da bao.. haha
I wish this "shallowness" is actually positive and can last k?... becoz I change all the time!... my mentality, my perceptions, my taste and of coz my mood.. hahaha

oh ya.. over the long weekend i watched Iron Man 2.. i liked it! 4/5 popcorn.. haha
I think I'm quite a guy when it comes to movie choices... war movies, action movies, thrillers... those man movies that don't appeal more to man than ladies, I still quite enjoy..
ok lah.. Iron Man is not that a "man movie", I know I know... I'm talking about my movie choices generally.. since I so enjoyed '300' 'Red Cliff' 'Avatar' & etc etc...
Long weekend always fly so fast hor??
Although I didn't accomplished much over those 3 days besides shopping and Iron Man 2... but doing "nothing" with the right person is very comforting for me too =)

oh.. I watched The Bounty Hunter during the weekend on Sat..
I agree with some of the movie reviews... the chemistry b/w Jennifer Aniston and Gerald Butler just wasnt that great, unlike Brad and Angelina.. And the movie wasn't as funny as anticipated...the plot was also so-so... I still liked it because I love watching Jennifer, but I suppose the others will find the show quite boring...

sorry~~ to who?
sorry for not updating my blog.. but im not a celebrity blogger leh.. so im saying sorry literally to no one rite? who reads my blog anyway~ *wonder wonder*
anyway my life is pretty boring (but happy).. the past 3 weekends, I watched 3 movies! When in Rome, Clash of the Titans and Date night.. all 3 are good.. but I prefer the first two.. Date Night is funny but the plot is kinda.. ridiculous... hahaha... light hearted movies are always appealing to me... so if u jus want a laugh, go catch it too... read bad reviews of Clash of the Titans... but I actually liked it leh.. I think it's a 'guy' show like 300 or Jurassic Park, so somehow ladies might be bored? not me lah I really like it!.. ya but 3D is not worth it.. watch it in 2D is fair enough
Im waiting for my favourite's Jennifer Aniston's Bounty Hunter to be out on the 22nd April! =)
okieokie.. nothing much to update really... pple have been asking me if im okie or not?
thanks for the concern... im fine.. things have not been going on that well.. but im contented as there are improvements and yes, it could not have been any worse that 1-2 months back.. no more rock bottom for me! it was low enough! thanks for helping me up!...

for all i know.. they didnt come easy.. so i might still lose it tmw..

want to warn all my friends about THE relationship!
1) don’t commit and love too deeply or blindly and end up like me so stupid and vulnerable that even me myself didnt realise it.. (yes i think the most devoted award has to go to me!)
OR
2) Faster get married and tied up… like that the other party would be more responsible and bonded and less likely to stray… don’t take it for granted that he/she will always be there for u to love
(my married bestie really tells me strike iron when its hot… dragging is v v dangerous)

i dont really like it when my friends are picking up the pieces for him
i mean im BURDENING my kind frens, even my boss.. they are great... picking up pieces for the guy who really should have helped but didnt bother enough to help at all.. I have great friends but they really shouldnt be worried and constantly weigh down and pull down by me.. if i have a choice, i really wish i could stop bringing trouble to people and shut myself out of this world out of all the pain out of whatever i cant managed.. shut myself out of this
