of wedding preparations

After going through those wedding preparations with my friends recently, I've concluded weddings is such a hassle and I will probably elope to Las Vegas with le future hubby to get married there, just sign and do away with the potential wedding dinner  headaches like what I told my girls already... heeeheeeee...

half  kidding la!.. but I mean, I've seen so much friction between the tense couples over the preparation process and me? I like to avoid all sorts of unpleasantness and unnecessary arguments cum  friction because marriage is suppose to be all about only sweetness and happy lovely union to me... I don't care if the wedding is perfect or not, I can't be bothered with one, I only care bout whether le bf and me are happy, in harmony and loving or not.... hahaha can see I'm quite a hopeless dreamer  when it comes to love..
I've always been a uber bo-chup, lazy and fuss-free person, like Qing say I'm not like a Virgoan at all, I don't seek perfection,  is a pack of lazy bones and not particular with details like how ribbons should be tied straight, if the stupid ribbon is crooked 1-2 cm, I don't care.. -_-" just let it be loh, and what customs to follow and how conventional things should be.. All  these fussiness and detailed trivial stuff will seriously kill me slowly,  I hope le hubby-to-be will be as "bo-chup and not particular" as me... ;P

This Robert Pattinson is really 'gracious'! And very attractive...  He actually forgive her and they got back together... I  really wished them all the best!.. Shows how much he love her, he's got a big heart and how much they really want to be together... still touches me! hahhahaa that day  my bestie mentioned I'm so easily touched... I couldn't agree more..

a story to tell - red brolly

He is a young rich boss taking over a large established company.
She is a poor girl and an average office worker.

They met when her brother mistook him for someone else and strike a brief conversation,she then lent him her  red brolly out of kindness on that rainy stormy day and shared a brolly with her brother.
He came to return her the red brolly near her place and then they meet up a few times after that.
People around him start to sabotage their relationship because of their differences in status and family background.
She was hurt by his family and friends and also him and started questioning his sincerity and motive. So when he finally plucked up his courage to ask for her number, she asked him back,

Her: "Why me? I'm not pretty,  not wealthy,  not smart, not anything, why did you choose me?"
Him: "I just do, can I have your number so I don't have to wait for your call anxiously each time?"
Her: "No, I don't wish to be fooled and played, why  me? I'm so normal, I'm just an average girl!"
Him: "Fine! I cannot like someone who has no self-esteem, self confidence and character of her own, please let my chauffeur send you home, I will cab home myself"

We love Singapore indeed.
I have always been a very proud Singaporean.
I love Singapore because we have good law and order, we feel safe generally.
I love Singapore because we have good educational system, giving us the edge with good english and recognized local qualifications. I want my kids to study here not elsewhere!
I love Singapore because we have clean environment and high standards of living.
I love Singapore because we have good controls and foresight, example like our SGD currency is maintained and not greatly depreciated, giving us competitive edge over other curriences.
I love Singapore because it feels like home whenever we step into Changi Airport when we travel back and how awesome it is.
I love Singapore because its such a great place that so many foreigners are coming to snatch our jobs and husbands! hahahahhaa =p if its not great, why they come???? y y y?

There are many other  reasons la, but to keep it short, I love Singapore and how  united we are,  especially  how my fellow Singaporean  friends or colleagues always side me when other M or C citizens bully me and also how united we are when we grumble and complain and complain.  =P

my thoughts at 30

Yes folks! I can't wait to be 30 so although I'm only due to this kinda post in September, I already can't wait to do it now =P...  Being real comfortable under my own skin at being 30, I'm most contented and fabulous at present (ok we must always feel good about ourselves k?).. I think when I was 20, I also feel the best at 20 then... so this" feeling-good-about-yourself" spirit should always follow us as we age k? Dont be fearful of growing up, u are only growing wiser =) Aging gracefully will be a goal too..Im glad I've made it this far! And happiest at this stage!

I really dislike blogging so much in contents so I seldom put up real wordy posts. The reason? I'm quite an opinionated person, and this actually result in people telling me I'm weird and unlikeable, they either love me or dislike me =( when actually to me, voicing my own stand is perfectly fine rite? I never force pple to agree with me or be influenced. To each his own right??? But I did mellow down over the years anyway since acceptance normally only comes from people who really know me well and forever can stand me, so there is really no reason to talk so much to those who don't.

The most impt thing I want to share with people at this stage is,

Live life with meaning! =) Don't let setbacks or criticism hinder and steal away your dreams and goals in life. Don't let time flies and then you don't know what you are living for.
For example, if your meaning in life is to bring justice to the world, it is not going to be easy,  you met corrupted people, evil forces, obstacles and failures that can't wait to change you.. Dont change and stick to your meaning and principles in life.. I know I  sound crazy but what I meant is if your meaning is to be a good prosecutor or policeman to uphold justice, stick to it, I salute you and even if you die, you die happy and meaningful and answer to yourself since its really what you truly believe ..
If your meaning in life is to be a good wife or good mother, nurturing your kids to be wonderful happy people is your dream, so be it =)  your life is meaningful and joyful and no dream is too small..
If you aspire to be a supermodel or famous singer in hollywood, pursue! dont let those who laugh at you or say your dreams are too far-fetched stop you and then you give up.. if you settle for less,  you find no joy and value in what you do, what for? you are letting yourself down and merely wasting your life..Thomas Alva Edison failed 100+ times before succeeding, but he sure know what he wants and nvr give up!

I wish someone told me this earlier, I would have been pursuing earlier and easier at 20 maybe, but I'm glad I'm doing so now..
Be very very positive ya? and love generously! May all of us lead awesome meaningful lives..

Euro 2012

We are down to the final four teams of Euro 12 and woahhhhhhh!!!!
I just realised my predictions for the quarterfinals winners were 100% spot on!!!!


Really leh... I picked Portugal over Czechs, Spain over France (I'm huge Espana fan) , Germany over Greece and Italia over English obviously (becoz of my soreness for England) =)


Now down to four... I won't predict anymore but more of support... 
I want SPAIN to win the semis and FINALS!!!! Go GO GO!!!! 
Side Italy to win Germany but may the best team wins for this match since I kinda feel if Germany can perform and play a better match, they deserve to go through and make the finals more worthy to watch and Spain look better if they can win Germany... I used to dislike Germany because they play very defensive, but I think they changed with the younger blood over these years (did they?)


Can't wait to watch the 2 semis! 

my absolute FAVORITE new shorts =P

I think every one of my friends know my fav color is purple, but my absolute favorite is mainly lavender / lilac shades and not all shades of purple especially some rum or deep purple shades (close to indigo) I don't really fancy.

Recently, I found my favourite pair of shorts in such pretty Lavender that I LOVE it TTM.
I match it with everything and it look nice!!!! (to me lah, since its LAVENDER) and I'm like going to handwash it everytime with extra care just because I LOVE the shorts so much - the color and versatility.

hahhahahaa... that one I'm not going take pic when I try it on as I am scared I will look like a whale in it (white color somemore -_-")... but let's hope (and I pray) it's pretty (the material and fit) when it reaches me and I can pull it off for the beach or pool =D

okok, I think I may be trying to break a record here by blogging so frequently this June... hahhahaa... since i got a couple of blog posts cooking in my mind, might as well blog it now before I get real busy in July or very very soon... kekez... definitely not keeping this trend because I don't really like to blog too much... no time no contents and a reason I will reveal later on in another upcoming post ;P


my simple pleasure for the night is to ask le boyfriend to open his convertible top, and bring me for a spin at night in this hot humid Singapore weather, let down my hair and let the wind blow all my troubles away!!! wind blow wind!!! then sing/hum on top of our lungs as we blast the cd in the car since no one can hear us in the wind and speed anyway... heh heh... love the wind in my hair and occasional stargaze when I look up in the dark.. loves!


I like the fact that simple stuff can still cheer me up and perk me on a tired, strained or bad day.. like the above instance, or an ice cream, or speciality chocolates, or a goodnight kiss, or sometimes even just a can of diet coke.. ha!.. I'm an uber easily-contented kid at heart..

The Amazing Spider-Man

I'm quite excited bout The Amazing Spider-Man because of the new casting of Peter Parker!
hahahhahaa frankly speaking, I find Andrew Garfield, the new Spider-Man more suitable than the old, Tobey Maguire. I think Andrew G got a genuine geeky air, looks way cuter than Tobey, as well as his thinner frame suits our neighborhood super hero Spider-Man better. Spider-Man is suppose to be all skinny with long legs and hands right which project his superb agile ability, Tobey somehow doesn't fit that well leh, to me la....
We also get to watch Emma Stone, his real gf act with him as a couple on screen. Cool! I like her too, I think she definitely can match up with Kirsten Dunst.

how things changed

Words cannot describe how much I detest being treated as a "second-class citizen", as I was very much traumatised and hurt like that during my childhood. it is really extra tough to me even until this date, that "second class" inferior and unfair treatment, the hurt and pain you can never understand unless you have gone through a childhood like mine. So please, please, please and please put me in priority too if u r mine that is, don't be like my childhood monster.. I have absolutely no ability to manage that.

I take after my Daddy alot. All my 优点s (if any) come from him. The bad points and flaws I probably picked up elsewhere myself along the road, nothing to do with him please. He is definitely one of the very few reasons why I am still alive today (yes, childhood was that disastrous), someone I really look up to.. he didn't literally taught me much actually, not like passing me skills or his knowledge, but it is more of like him being there for me and for me to look up to, his character I want and aspire to be, I cannot imagine how twisted my character would be if not for a role model like him.

Liam Hemsworth is Gale of The Hunger Games! Gale is that sweetheart guy from the hometown District 12 of Katniss (Jennifer) who is always there taking care of the family for her while she braved the life or death games. hahahhaa I know his role appear minor in the movie.... but his role will become more and more important in Book 2 and 3 lah... I actually quite like "Gale".. and also, he is the brother of "Thor" (from "The Avengers" & "Snow White") loh... hahahahhaa, both brothers cute right? The Chris Hemsworth...

was reading the newspapers, then it knocked me really hard as a reminder after an article my simple basic principle I've always held: never ever be a third party. Almost forgot about it. I can never ever understand why people would want to go in between couples and steal the bliss of others. Damn damn hurtful. Been there. so hurt. Yet there are so many selfish people out there who can do it so readily =(. That doesn't mean we should join the gang and be robbers k? DON'T!

8 months, I'm actually very tired.. at times i really think and want to go with the flow, it's so so so so much easier to go with the flow... y go against it? with all the pillars and encouragements and perks abandoning me one by one in the process, feels uber alone, lost and cold, even the strongest willpower and spirits got deflated. Wounded. just not too dead, yet. I insist.

luckily at that very rock bottom, i got reminded of the bottle of positivity pills I've always kept with me...bit by bit, pull myself together with that generous amount of pills.. i have had ample of those for awhile..even now i still have it but i do not know if they will ever run out.. i don't even know where they came from but i suspect the kind deeds from the past left me equipped with some. Real colorful ones actually. pretty.

Seriously, me refusing to barge, so stubborn about dis, is it worth it or not? Everyone beg to differ, and if you say it's totally not worth, who are u to judge and why is it so? what will happen if one day i run out of those pills and the day is tomorrow? I dare not think. I will know then, whether its worth or not. Forgoing that stupid pride, I still decided to cry for the last bit of help. HELP!!! help please pretty, help! I dun wanna succumb =( , i tried to grip on why i wanted it in the first place and not get too lost in it.. too caught up with the injuries and anger will only steal our precious dream away. too much pride too. Shed.

I climbed i crawled i fell i swelled. it can go either way. but it has to end one day. soon.. till then..

why do i love captain america aka steve rogers?
im not blindly loving him because of his uber cute looks played by chris evans, and i seriously think that no matter who gets to play that role, i will still love the captain america himself... why is it so?
besides having the ultimate good looks, agile and brawn, i simply fall for this old fashion hero =)
old fashion men are magnets to me because they r so rare now! (think edward cullen too) look at his sincerity, his forthcoming, his loyalty and his righteousness.. look look look! .. also selfless, courageous and that natural leadership, how not to fall for it???

okok we all love ironman too k? i mean most guys i know are already big fans of ironman... so if i have to spread some love, i will be bias to give it to my sexy johansson's black widow of coz!

I've been wanting to watch this show since like, hmmm... forever? So I went to catch it right on it's first week of release. The movie was not bad overall. Based on young-adult novel, I thought it was pretty decent for a not-so-young-adult like me. There's a number of media comparison between this trilogy and Twilight, but to me, it's like comparing apple to orange... different plot totally right? One is bout sick reality tv game and the other one is bout supernatural vampires/werewolves.. I enjoyed both movies. So I'm not going to compare them and is equally excited on the sequel to both.

For the hunger games, I'm enticed by the courageous heroine age only 16 in this crazy reality tv game held annually.
I'm not going to do a movie review lah.. but love Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen. And since I've always been a fan of real reality tv shows, this storyline intrigues me. Also, movie characters/ storyline that inspire me or give me ample thoughts always score extra brownie points. And this young but strong teenager certainly did set me thinking. Not forgetting she's very chio =)

I remembered 2-3 yrs ago, I was going through a massive heartache, those kind so bad I literally wanna die and see no tomorrow.... I even sourced how to die, it was really vitally bad!!! no joke... so if u ever encounter this kind of unfortunate dark event in life, *touchwood* and please come to me and don't be alone!

so now, I decided to pen down that 123s for the fragile broken hearts in any case.


Heartache 123:


Step 1) Seek help
Acknowledge u have a problem and seek help. No one can perform any miracles to help u, so the help is actually still that listening ear and yes, that shoulder to cry on. That much. However if u don't seek help and u seek death, u r so doomed. so I'll rather u go for the first. U can pour out all ur rantings, sorrow and tears, and then hopefully feel 0.00001% better after confiding. Better than nothing really. Of coz, friends might add in those typical words of wisdom and whatever logical theories 101 also. If u can listen, listen and be motivated. If u can't, u r VERY normal, heart matters where got logic, where won't pain, where got rationale? don't be too hard on yourself. and also, u don't have to listen entirely to what friends tell you to do, they are not you afterall. theory 101 also include no one can help u but yourself, thus gist of it is to remember to try pick urself up when seeking help.


Step 2) Find peace
Find that inner peace in ur innate soul and self. not only the mind. don't go out and blame the whole world except yourself. and vice versa, don't put all the blame on yourself. things don't work out means values and opinions and feelings and desires are mismatch and misunderstood. no one is to be blamed or should be solely responsible. no rights & no wrongs. don't hate. don't be bitter. don't dwell. pointless


Step 3) Move on
the bravest step is to move on, but moving forward is really for no one but yourself, thus, don't deceive yourself when u r not ready yet. Don't ask me what is moving on and how to move on, for everyone's problems/ scenarios and paths are different. for some, it's just not dwelling and forgeting, for some it's going for someone else, for some it can be more drastic. No need to plunge into recovery, no need to be forceful. Route to recovery is never that easy or that straight forward. It may come sooner for some and later for others. No fear!.. Importantly, make sure your moving on is for a positive cause. not for revenge, not for other people, not for any kind of excuses that u will ever look back and regret.


3 steps seems simple in words but it will take a whole lot more than that. Alotalotalotalotalotalotalotalotalotalot more, I know, trust me, no one knows better.
Frankly, I think no one ever deserves to go through all these shit. Hope you guys will never ever need to be in this plight.

I think when u r very much in love, everyday is as good as V day actually... so don't have to especially throw a big celebration on this day.
